A 51-year-old man has been apprehended in connection with an attack on Alina Habba, the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey and a staunch Trump ally.
In an X post, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that Keith Michael Lisa has been arrested in connection with the attack. “No one will get away with threatening or intimidating our great US Attorneys or the destruction of their offices,” Bondi wrote.
“We got him,” Habba wrote in an X post of her own, adding, “Now justice will handle him.”
Authorities announced on Wednesday that an individual tried to confront U.S. Attorney Alina Habba, damaged property inside her office, and then fled the scene. Habba was not injured in the attack, Bondi added.
The assailant was reportedly armed with a baseball bat, which he used to smash up Habba’s office before discarding it and fleeing the scene. Bondi further announced that the case was being treated with urgency and that a sweeping manhunt had been launched to apprehend the suspect, adding that a $25,000 reward was being offered for information leading to an arrest.
The poster warned the individual “should be considered dangerous” and described him as an imposing man at 6’3″ and more than 200 pounds.
“Any violence or threats of violence against any federal officer will not be tolerated. Period. This is unfortunately becoming a trend as radicals continue to attack law enforcement agents around the country,” she wrote.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Lisa on November 13, 2025, in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, Newark, New Jersey after he was charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon in a Federal Facility and Depredation of Federal Property.
According to a local news outlet, Lisa hails from Mahwah, New Jersey and was registered to vote in Bergen County in 2017.
“I will not be intimidated by radical lunatics for doing my job,’ Habba wrote in an X post about the incident earlier in the week. Upon the suspect’s capture, Habba echoed Bondi in highlighting that the incident follows several violent attacks on federal law enforcement officers and officials, including a disturbing trend of armed ambush attacks targeting ICE officers.
