BREAKING: Secret Service Counter-Sniper Goes Rogue, Predicts ANOTHER Attempt On Trump

The New Atlantis

A steady drip of damning revelations about the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump is starting to lead to agents in the Secret Service making predictions that it won’t be long before a second attempt is made on his life.

RealClearPolitics White House correspondent Susan Crabtree reported on internal messages shared by agency counter-snipers gnashing their teeth about the Secret Service’s worst security failure in decades, confiding that he hopes senior-level officials are fired and that if protocols don’t change soon his colleagues should expect another catastrophe. “A Secret Service counter sniper sent an email Monday night to the entire Uniformed Division (not agents) saying he will not stop speaking out until ‘5 high-level supervisors (1 down) are either fired or removed from their current positions,’” Crabtree wrote on X. “The counter sniper also said the agency ‘SHOULD expect another assassination attempt’ before November and complained that he is no longer proud to be a USSS counter sniper after leadership failed the officers at the Trump rally in Butler on 7/13.”

(VOTE: Are You Supporting TRUMP Or KAMALA In November?)

She continued: “‘This agency NEEDS to change,’ the sniper wrote in the email. ‘If not now, WHEN? ‘The NEXT assassination in 30 days?’ Sadly we have fallen short for YEARS. We just look good doing it. I have conveyed these thoughts to not only supervisors (to include the current Captain of CS, but those responsible for training us (SOTS/CS). Only to be brushed off as those with less experience somehow knew more than me.”

Kimberly Cheatle, former director of the clandestine detail around current and former presidents as well as top candidates for the White House, resigned in disgrace last week after telling the House Oversight Committee that she accepted responsibility for allowing 20-year-old Thomas Crooks to come within an inch of killing President Trump. In previous interviews, she defended her decision to not place a sniper on the roof where Crooks was able to gain a line of sight to the stage, saying its slope would have made it difficult for a counter-sniper to be staged there. Other revelations produced by the FBI and Oversight Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) show that the Secret Service largely left the perimeter of the rally to local authorities who declined to investigate Crooks as he scoured the site in advance of the rally. The Bureau is also investigating the apparent fleeing by one officer who encountered Crooks seconds before he opened fire.

“The team I was once proud to be a part of, is something I have to somehow hide as I move into my next career,” the counter-sniper continued. “Who wants to hire a USSS CS guy who failed? That’s the public perception I’m not faced with. The USSS CS team is a stain I will never be able to cleanse.”

He concluded with these two lines: “The motto of the USSS…CYA. And every supervisor is doing it right now.” The email was quickly deleted, but not before a recipient grabbed a screenshot with the agent’s name and shared it with Crabtree who posted the unredacted message online.

JUST IN: Top Kamala VP Candidate Drops Out As Final Contenders Are Revealed

The New Atlantis

A popular Southern Democrat has decided he wants no part in the Harris presidential campaign, recently telling allies that he would not consider joining her ticket if asked.

The opposite sentiment has been par for the course among Democrats eager to fill her No. 2 place since President Joe Biden announced the end of his reelection bid last week. Now with Vice President Kamala Harris set to face down former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), the chattering class’s latest parlor guessing game is about who would most help the embattled veep out with climbing back to even in the polls. To that end, observers can count North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper out of the race, according to the Western Journal.

(VOTE: Are You Supporting TRUMP Or KAMALA In November?)

Cooper, 67 has won plaudits at the local level for his ability to win votes in a red state lost by President Biden four years ago, and he has been winning elections since joining the state legislature at the age of 29 in 1986, WRAL reported. Earlier this month he told reporters that he fully stood behind Harris. “Kamala Harris should be the next president,” Cooper wrote on social media. “I’ve known [Harris] going back to our days as AGs, and she has what it takes to defeat Donald Trump and lead our country thoughtfully and with integrity. I look forward to campaigning for her as we work to win NC up and down the ticket.”

That enthusiasm, however, doesn’t mean he wants to deal with the inescapable rough-and-tumble of national politics. “This just wasn’t the right time for North Carolina and for me to potentially be on a national ticket,” Cooper posted to X Monday. “As I’ve said from the beginning, [Harris] has an outstanding list of people from which to choose, and we’ll all work to make sure she wins.”

Others who remain rumored to be on the veep’s shortlist include Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Strategists with Harris have previously outlined how her path to victory will likely be through the southern states, comprised of higher populations of minority voters, rather than Democrats’ more reliable “Blue Wall” of midwestern and Rust Belt states. Recent polling shows the Democrat trailing Trump more narrowly than Biden, but to break even she will in all likelihood need to dampen Black enthusiasm for Trump, which is at the highest level for a Republican presidential candidate since the Civil Rights era.

In a sign that the midwest is falling out of favor with the Harris camp, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer confirmed she is “not a part of the vetting” process, telling CBS News that she stands behind her party’s candidate but will be watching from the sidelines. “I have communicated with everyone, including the people of Michigan, that I’m going to stay as governor until the end of my term at the end of 2026,” Whitmer said.

The Democratic National Convention is set to take place in Chicago on August 19th, and the Harris campaign has said it intends to announce her running mate shortly.

Facebook ADMITS It Censored Historic Trump Photo After Shooting

The New Atlantis

Facebook on Monday admitted to investigators that it temporarily shadow-banned the historic photo of former President Donald Trump proudly pumping a bloody fist in the air following the July 13th attempted assassination on his life.

The decision to censor the iconic image, which was originally set to grace the front of Time Magazine’s August edition, was an “error,” according to a company spokesman asked by the New York Post. According to the conservative social media account End Wokeness, a message from the company threatened to suspend another user after sharing the image which was purported to be “misinformation.” Dani Lever, a spokesman for Facebook’s parent company Meta, called that decision a “mistake.”

(VOTE: Are You Supporting TRUMP Or KAMALA In November?)

“Yes, this was an error,” Lever wrote in response to a message from Charlie Kirk who had also blasted the social media network for disallowing sharing of the photo. “This fact check was initially applied to a doctored photo showing the secret service agents smiling, and in some cases our systems incorrectly applied that fact check to the real photo.” Lever added that “this has been fixed and we apologize for the mistake.”

Users were up in arms over the apology, responding sarcastically that it must have been a “coincidence” that Facebook was once again censoring conservatives and MAGA faithful. “Nope, not buying it anymore,” one user on X said. “Funny that the ‘errors’ only ever go in one direction. Just coincidence, I guess,” wrote another. The Post also noted that Meta was just coming out of yet another anti-conservative controversy after its new AI chatbot referred to the Trump shooting as “fictional” when being asked to describe the incident.

Ironically, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg previously said in an interview that watching Trump pump his fist in that photo was one of the most “badass” moves he’s ever seen by a politician. Still, the world’s largest social media company is working to aggressively extricate itself from the political scene, prompting users on Instagram to “opt-in” if they would like to receive political content while making it increasingly difficult for political campaigns to run effective advertisements. A series of Wall Street Journal investigations in 2021 found that the company’s algorithms have for years promoted content that generated angry comments and other forms of engagement, generating activity but worsening the overall experience for users.

Earlier this year a federal judge ruled that the Biden administration unlawfully pressured Facebook and other social media companies to censor alternative points of view about the pandemic, suppressing information on alternative therapies to vaccines or questioning the effectiveness of masks in public. In a scathing rebuke, the judge ruled that the White House had overstepped its boundaries and limited the First Amendment freedoms of conservatives. The decision came in response to lawsuits filed by Republican attorneys general who claimed federal officials overstepped their authority by contacting companies like Twitter and Facebook to shut down accounts and chat rooms dedicated to questioning the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines during the height of the pandemic.

However, in June the U.S. Supreme Court reversed that order, siding with the Biden administration that it followed proper procedures in ordering Facebook to limit the spread of posts it deemed harmful to public safety.

“The plaintiffs rely on allegations of past Government censorship as evidence that future censorship is likely,” Justice Amy Coney Barrett wrote in the majority opinion, the Daily Caller reported. “But they fail, by and large, to link their past social-media restrictions to the defendants’ communications with the platforms. Thus, the events of the past do little to help any of the plaintiffs establish standing to seek an injunction to prevent future harms.”

Trump Reveals Melania’s Reaction To His Near Assassination: ‘She Can’t Even Talk About It’

The New Atlantis

In a new interview, former President Donald Trump gave viewers a glimpse into how traumatic his brush with death was for former First Lady Melania Trump.

Speaking with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, the 45th president and Republican candidate told the story of sitting with his wife of 19 years as they first discussed the attempted assassination on July 13th. Watching live, Melania saw Trump grab his ear and go down, fearing the worst had happened, he said.

(VOTE: Are You Supporting TRUMP Or KAMALA In November?)

“She was watching live. It was all over the place. It was on television, it was on your network… She was watching, I asked her that. I wasn’t there, I was on the ground. And when the world started to, like you could talk to people, I said so what was your feeling? And she just can’t even really even talk about it,” Trump told the anchor, who characterized her reaction as “traumatized.”

“Which is okay, because she likes me,” he joked, lightening the mood. “Or she loves me.”

“I mean, let’s say she could talk about it freely. I’m not so sure. But I will say this: When I went down she thought the worst had happened, because I went down. My hand was loaded up with blood, you saw it on instant replay.”

Ingraham responded by agreeing with Trump on how important it is for authorities to “get to the bottom” of how 20-year-old Thomas Crooks was able to skirt the Secret Service and position himself on a rooftop just several hundred yards from the stage where the former president was speaking to rallygoers in Butler, Pennsylvania. Supporters argue that dereliction on the part of the Secret Service, including the potential diverting of officers to staff First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, contributed to a security failure that is among the worst in the agency’s history. Last week FBI Director Christopher Wray told a bipartisan consortium of lawmakers that an ongoing investigation has uncovered how Crooks used a drone to survey the site before opening fire and text messages between officers show the young man was under surveillance up to a half-hour in advance.

The disclosures have sparked anger among conservatives who have cudgeled the FBI director in the past for other perceived offenses, including downplaying the emergence of Hunter Biden’s laptop as a product of Russian disinformation, a claim which a special counsel investigator later found unsubstantiated. Less than a week after the shooting, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned following several interviews and congressional testimony where she accepted blame while appearing to deflect responsibility on local authorities who were entrusted to guard the perimeter of the rally where Crooks found his vantage point. Over the weekend, another security failure at a Trump event in Nashville led the Secret Service to briefly hide him off-stage while two individuals were investigated for bypassing security measures to gain access to the room where he was speaking.

JUST IN: Secret Service Delays Trump’s Speech After ANOTHER Major Security Lapse

The New Atlantis

Two suspicious attendees at President Trump’s appearance at a Bitcoin conference on Saturday led the Secret Service to shield the former president from the crowd while they investigated the second security lapse around him in as many weeks.

Fox News reported on the delay preceding Trump’s remarks at the 2024 Bitcoin national conference in Nashville, Tennessee where cryptocurrency holders and titans of industry were waiting anxiously to hear from the presidential candidate many feel will do the most good for their nascent tender. The annual event has grown each year and drew an estimated 35,000 from around the world, but it was two individuals who slipped through strict entry protocols, briefly sending the Secret Service into a tailspin. A spokesman for the agency confirmed to Fox News that two “credentialed and screened” attendees were removed from the venue. The interruption forced agents to hold President Trump backstage at the Music City Center where thousands of evening attendees waited to hear his keynote address.

“It was determined that there was no protective interest with these individuals and there was never a threat to the former president,” the spokesperson said.

According to sources present, both individuals made their way around metal detectors that every attendee was required to pass through. At one point they were stopped and asked for their credentials, one source said, but bypassed a second screening, forcing Trump to stay backstage while Secret Service agents worked with event staff to locate the two individuals in a crowd of thousands. Law enforcement questioned both of them after they were removed from the venue and were determined not to be a threat to the former president.

Another disquieting occurrence around President Trump comes two weeks after a gunman struck his ear with a high-caliber rifle round, nearly killing him before Secret Service snipers shot and killed the young man. Twenty-year-old Thomas Crooks, a recent high school graduate who became infatuated with guns and political leaders, was able to avoid Secret Service scrutiny in the days leading up to a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, and even during the event itself. An ongoing FBI investigation has found that Crooks flew a drone above the site shortly before President Trump went on stage, and during the speech, he was seen by snipers crawling along the ground with a rangefinder as he searched for a vantage point to the stage. FBI Director Christopher Wray told lawmakers on Friday that he can’t get into all the specifics of why Crooks was able to slip through intense security measures.

“We have tried to be transparent with Congress and with the American people as we are going along in the investigation, frankly unusually so given the sheer nature of it. We have provided a lot of information… in response to your questions and your colleagues,” Wray told the House Oversight Committee, explaining how “facts change” over the course of investigations. “Part of our goal is not just to respect the ongoing investigation process but also to make sure that we don’t prematurely provide information that then two days later turns out to be different from what we told people.”

JUST IN: Secret Service’s New Director Played ‘Key Role’ In Pulling Security From Trump

The New Atlantis

Before the recently departed Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle made the fateful decision to direct agents away from former President Donald Trump on the day of an assassination attempt, her predecessor played a “key role” in many decisions over the prior years to deny Trump’s team additional security personnel despite repeated requests after he received multiple death threats.

RealClearPolitics uncovered that Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe was “directly involved” in denying Trump’s team a full array of Secret Service resources, including additional counter-snipers who may have been able to shoot and kill a gunman before he opened fire at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13th. Several sources familiar with agency machinations say Rowe worked closely with Cheatle to turn down requests by the Trump campaign for “magnetometers, additional agents, and other resources to help screen rallygoers at large, outdoor Trump campaign gatherings.” Specifically, Rowe ordered that Secret Service snipers not attend Trump rallies that were outside the driving distance of the agency’s Washington, D.C. headquarters. The drive time from the nation’s capital to Butler is approximately four and a half hours northwest, conceivably putting the rally location far outside Rowe’s radar.

(VOTE: Are You Supporting TRUMP Or KAMALA In November?)

Tuesday will see Rowe and FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate appear before a joint hearing of the Democrat-controlled Senate Judiciary and Homeland Security and Government Affairs committees where they are expected to answer questions about the historic security failure and the Bureau’s ongoing investigation. Last week, FBI Director Christopher Wray was grilled by the U.S. House Oversight Committee and Republican Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) about what his team had uncovered, leading to revelations that Thomas Crooks, the 20-year-old gunman, was flying a reconnaissance drone near the rally site in the preceding hours without intervention. Authorities also located explosives and a remote detonator linked to his vehicle, which they believe he intended to detonate in an attempt to distract counter-snipers while he fired at President Trump.

A bipartisan chorus has denounced the Secret Service and called for Cheatle’s resignation. Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), chair of Tuesday’s joint committee, said he plans to press both bureaucrats on the “litany of gaps and failures” that occurred that day. “There are monumental, critical questions that so far the leadership in these two agencies have failed to answer [for, and] even to begin to respond to,” Blumenthal said. Republican Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), a member of the Homeland Security Committee, said he is planning an intense round of questions for Rowe which are only going to become more difficult to answer after the latest report. “I will also hold him fully accountable for being 100% transparent and honest in cooperating with our investigation and oversight,” Johnson said Thursday.

Over the weekend another significant security failure occurred before President Trump took the stage at the national Bitcoin conference in Nashville. Secret Service agents kept the Republican off-stage while they worked to locate two individuals who had obtained credentials but circumvented metal detectors intended to prevent weapons from being brought into the conference space. Both attendees were located, questioned by authorities, and later were determined to not present a threat, though they were ultimately bounced from the venue. Secret Service agents did not provide an explanation about why or how both individuals were able to escape a security perimeter just two weeks after the assassination attempt on Trump. Internally, agents have admitted it won’t be long before a second deadly attempt is made.

NEW: JD Vance’s Secret Service Code Name Is Revealed

The New Atlantis

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) has received a new code name from the Secret Service agents assigned to his detail, one that holds a special meaning to him.

The Daily Mail reported that agents will begin referring to Trump’s vice presidential pick as “Bobcat” after offering Vance the opportunity to pick his own code name from a list of options. The name change comes two and a half weeks after former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt and prompted the resignation of Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle. While high-value individuals protected by the department are often named internally on “sheer whim,” according to one source, Vance in this case was afforded his own chance to select a historic code name.

(VOTE: Are You Supporting TRUMP Or KAMALA In November?)

“Bobcat” is a throwback to Vance’s autobiography “Hillbilly Elegy” in which the conservative lawmaker describes growing up in Middletown, Ohio, and later attending school at Breathitt County High School in Jackson, Kentucky whose mascot is the Bobcats. In addition, Vance has a love for football and his alma mater shares its mascot with Ohio University, though he graduated from Ohio State.

Codenames are unique to each individual and stay with them throughout the duration of their protection. In the case of President Trump, he will be referred to as “Mogul” by the agents who stay by his side for the rest of his life. He originally requested to be codenamed “Humble” and former First Lady Melania Trump came to be known by agents as “Muse.” Key to the nicknames is keeping them short, distinct, and easy to pronounce for agents as they work quickly in the field and were once central to keeping wayward listeners in the dark about who was being discussed on their radio channels. Today agents’ communication is encrypted and the codenames are largely a formality.

In his book, Sen. Vance writes about how Bobcats football was a rare opportunity for him to bond with his mother, who was battling addiction at the time and is now 10 years sober. “Mom checked out books on football strategy from the public library, and we built little models of the field with construction paper and loose change—pennies for the defense, nickels and dimes for the offense,” he writes in “Hillbilly Elegy.”

The “Bobcat” moniker is another reminder of Vance’s blue-collar roots that prompted Trump to select his running mate based on his strength in midwestern and Rust Belt states. Democrats’ “Blue Wall” relies on midwest states like Wisconsin and Michigan that often go their way in presidential years but which have trended toward Trump while President Joe Biden was in the race. With Vice President Kamala Harris now leading the party’s ticket and narrowing their gap in the polls, Trump will be reliant on Vance’s ability to connect with voters feeling disenfranchised about the shutting of factories by corporations in favor of overseas production as well as potential bans on fracking in places like Pennsylvania. Harris will be forced to defend the administration’s record on electric vehicle mandates which have proven extremely unpopular within Michigan’s auto industry.

BREAKING: Biden Announces Sweeping Supreme Court Power Grab

The New Atlantis

On Monday, President Joe Biden signaled his firm support for congressional efforts to enforce new rules on U.S. Supreme Court justices, which critics say amounts to a power grab by Democrats to limit the judicial freedom of the court’s conservative majority.

Fox News reported on Biden’s remarks, echoed by Vice President Kamala Harris, calling for all justices to abide by a new code of ethics and a term limit of 18 years. Biden, who announced the news in a Washington Post op-ed, also indicated he wants to pass a new law limiting presidential immunity in the wake of the court’s decision granting sweeping authority to presidents taking official acts in office. He will expand on those proposals during remarks later in the day at the LBJ Presidential Library, in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act.

(VOTE: Are You Supporting TRUMP Or KAMALA In November?)

“I served as a U.S. senator for 36 years, including as chairman and ranking member of the Judiciary Committee. I have overseen more Supreme Court nominations as senator, vice president and president than anyone living today,” Biden wrote in the Post. “I have great respect for our institutions and separation of powers. What is happening now is not normal, and it undermines the public’s confidence in the court’s decisions, including those impacting personal freedoms. We now stand in a breach,” Biden wrote.

Central to the Biden reforms is the elimination of freedom by sitting presidents to commit crimes while in office. Hanging over the proposal is the specter of former President Donald Trump being prosecuted for mishandling classified documents and encouraging the January 6th, 2021 riots at the U.S. Capitol. Both elements of Biden’s plans were supported by Harris in a statement. “Today, there is a clear crisis of confidence facing the Supreme Court as its fairness has been called into question after numerous ethics scandals and decision after decision overturning long-standing precedent,” she said.

According to the Biden plan, once all incoming justices have been appointed under the 18-year limit, a president would have the ability to fill a court opening every two years. The plan faces nearly impossible odds of being implemented as the Supreme Court’s lifetime appointments are enshrined in the U.S. Constitution and were intended to keep the justices free from political influence or focused on a future after the bench. Meanwhile, Biden’s ethics rule would require that all justices “disclose gifts, refrain from public political activity, and recuse themselves from cases in which they or their spouses have financial or other conflicts of interest.”

“President Biden and Vice President Harris look forward to working with Congress and empowering the American people to prevent the abuse of Presidential power, restore faith in the Supreme Court, and strengthen the guardrails of democracy,” a White House official said in a statement to Fox News.

Critics of the high court have kicked their complaints into overdrive since the 2022 undoing of Roe v. Wade, a watershed moment for conservatives that has come to define the modern slant of the court following three appointments by President Trump. A series of investigations have tied conservative Justice Clarence Thomas to high-net-worth individuals with business before the court, prompting questions about whether he was influenced by private trips and personal gifts. Supporters of Thomas have pushed back and cited efforts by staffers to liberal Justice Sonia Sotomayor to have university administrators purchase large quantities of her autobiography before she came to their campuses for speaking engagements.

JUST IN: Kamala Whistleblower Speaks Out, Exposes Shocking New Details

The New Atlantis

Former staffers to Vice President Kamala Harris have revealed what working for the high-powered presidential candidate is really like, and some of the encounters they described raise questions about whether she has the temperament to succeed President Joe Biden.

A summary of past incidents between Harris and her ex-staffers was compiled by the Daily Mail and laid out in explicit detail how the Democratic leader shrugged off hurt feelings by staff members she reportedly berated and swore at during tense moments. An independent analysis of payroll records show that just four of the 71 staff members who worked for Harris over President Biden’s first term still remain part of her team. Her caustic behavior has at times been described as “soul-destroying” and bullying stretching back to her time as California attorney general.

(VOTE: Are You Supporting TRUMP Or KAMALA In November?)

The change at the top of the Democratic ticket has sparked a rash of fears that Harris’s worst impulses will be multiplied now that the party has pinned all its hopes on her shoulders. Former aides told reporter Charlie Spiering it’s not shocking to learn about a 92% turnover rate under the veep considering how she has behaved behind the scenes: screaming matching with senior staff, berating underlings for minute oversights, and leaving interns in tears. That sentiment was echoed by Gil Duran, an ex-aide to AG Harris who quit after five months. “What is the common denominator through all this?” he said, “It’s her.”

The latter was confirmed by Barbara O’Connor, a professor at California State University, Sacramento, who said she eventually stopped referring her students to Harris’s attorney general office in the 2010s after several came back traumatized by their experiences and “felt they weren’t valued.” The conditions were equally dim after her 2017 election to the U.S. Senate where her office had the ninth-highest staff turnover rate in the body. Congressional sources described then-Sen. Harris lashing out at both Republican and Democratic staffers during the contentious confirmation hearings of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, a woman who came forward alleging he sexually assaulted her in their teens.

After staging a walkout during part of the hearings, Harris exploded in anger outside the main Judiciary Committee hearing room. “Anyone who’s staff, get the f*** out of here!” she allegedly yelled, according to witnesses who were present at the time. Perhaps more revealingly, the Harris campaign declined to comment on the allegations.

By the time she embarked on her campaign for president in 2019, Harris’s behavior had become so “toxic” that staff members were going public with how bad morale had become. Former State Operations Director Kelly Mehlenbacher left in November of that year after declaring she had “never seen an organization treat its staff so poorly.”

She continued: “It is not acceptable to me that we encouraged people to move from Washington, DC to Baltimore only to lay them off with no notice. Morale has never been lower,’ she added, saying there was no ‘real plan’ for how Harris might win, but that she hoped her departure ‘might result in some serious consideration of […] our internal communications.” One month after Mehlenbacher went public, Harris ended her campaign, citing a lack of continued financial support by donors.

Harris was thrown a lifeline by Biden four months later when he tapped her to be his running mate, but the change in circumstances was not followed by a change in workplace behavior. By the time both arrived in the White House, staffers were speaking out anonymously as they railed against the vice president for cultivating a stifling and fear-ridden atmosphere where they were afraid of uttering the smallest offense that could trigger a wave of anger from Harris.

“It’s not a place where people feel supported but a place where people feel treated like s***,” one source said, describing the team as “low morale, porous lines of communication and diminished trust among aides and senior officials.” President Biden’s team saw what was happening and threw the veep under the bus. “It all starts at the top,” said one West Wing aide who watched the mistreatment go down.

Harris is now in the hottest spotlight on earth as she navigates a new political landscape upended by the departure of President Biden from the campaign trail. She narrowly trails former President Donald Trump in the polls but reportedly raised a mammoth $200 million in the first week of her presidential run, more than Biden raised in the final three months of his 2024 campaign.

Novak Djokovic Wears Christian Cross At Olympics After Shocking Last Supper Mockery thumbnail

Novak Djokovic Wears Christian Cross At Olympics After Shocking Last Supper Mockery

The New Atlantis

Tennis superstar Novak Djokovic may be signaling his opposition to a moment in the Olympics opening ceremony that was denounced by conservatives after drag performers reenacted Christ’s “The Last Supper” painting, an event that organizers said was intended to convey the competition’s “inclusive” atmosphere.

X influencer Mario Nawfal spotted Djokovic’s cross necklace which he donned during his opening match against No. 3 ranked Matthew Ebden where he emerged victorious. On Monday the Christian player defeated agnostic champion Rafael Nadal, a showdown that left Djokovic’s fans salivating about the upset. “Before I am an athlete, I am an Orthodox Christian,” the Serbian national has previously said about himself.

(VOTE: Are You Supporting TRUMP Or KAMALA In November?)

At the ripe old age of 37, Djokovic may be competing in his final Olympics since bursting onto the scene at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He is the latest in a long line of athletes who have credited God with their preternatural ability to succeed in their respective sports. After winning his second Masters tournament in May, Scottie Scheffler thanked Christ for giving him the strength to play after his sudden arrest by local officials for a minor traffic violation. Charges were later dropped. The 28-year-old said his friends assured him “victory was secured on the cross,” he told reporters after his win, adding that his faith kept him grounded in the final moments of the tournament. “That’s a pretty special feeling. To know that I’m secure forever, you know, it doesn’t matter if I win this tournament or if I lose this tournament. My identity’s secure forever,” he said.

The Olympics’ opening celebration on Friday was chastised for the inclusion of an anti-Christian celebration by drag performers. More than a dozen performers reenacted the Last Supper scene made famous by Leonardo da Vinci and featured a naked Smurf that appeared to have an erection and a “woman” with a beard, in addition to another biblical mockery. A pyrotechnics display featured a rider on a white horse in a depiction of the fourth horseman of the apocalypse, with the rider signifying death. The display took place in front of the Eifel Tower, the most recognizable monument in France, a country home to more than 40,000,000 Christians.

The performance generated intense blowback online from other prominent athletes. “F**k the Olympics boycott it for the disrespect of Jesus Christ,” said boxing superstar Ryan Garcia. “You are a goof you still watching the most satanic Olympics of all time.” Kickboxer Andrew Tate called the Olympics “fake and gay” and instructed his fans not to watch.
