Andre Seldon Jr., the exceptional 22-year-old cornerback for Utah State who was expected to excel in the NFL’s draft next year, died over the weekend in a tragic accident.

Seldon was swimming with friends when he drowned at a Utah reservoir, according to authorities who briefed local media on the investigation. The Cache County Sheriff’s also told ESPN that the young man’s body was recovered after an extensive rescue by the department’s dive team.

(VOTE NOW: Should SS Director Cheatle RESIGN Immediately?)

CNN reported that authorities determined Seldon died after a cliff-diving accident about 20 miles from the school’s campus. Police were called to the scene around 2:20 p.m. local time after reports that Seldon dove into the water and didn’t resurface. “Our investigation leads us to believe this is a tragic accident as multiple witnesses recount the same information,” the Cache County Sheriff’s Office told ESPN.

“Our Utah State University Athletics family is devastated over the sudden death of Andre Seldon Jr.,” Utah State athletic director Diana Sabau said in a statement released by the school. “We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, teammates, and all who loved Andre.”

Seldon had bounced between powerhouse schools throughout his collegiate career, beginning at Michigan before transferring to New Mexico State two years ago. He appeared in 28 games and recorded an astounding 98 tackles and two interceptions in that time, which the player credited to his coach Nate Dreiling. He followed Dreiling to Utah State where his mentor took on the role of interim coach after Blake Anderson was fired.

“Our football program is heartbroken to have to endure the loss of one of our own,” Dreiling said in a statement released by the school. “Having had a previous relationship with Andre during our time together at New Mexico State, I can tell you he was an incredible person and teammate. Our condolences and prayers go out to Andre’s family as we grieve with them over this tremendous loss.”

Seldon is the fourth major athlete to die during this year’s summer season. In May star equestrian Georgie Campbell was killed during the four-day Bicton International Horse Trials in the southwest town of Devon, England when her mare tripped over a fence on the course. The resulting impact claimed the 37-year-old’s life. That same month, Drew Gordon, a former Philadelphia 76ers power forward, died unexpectedly in Portland, Oregon on Thursday as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident. Just days earlier, former UFC fighter Geane Herrera died at age 33 after a deadly traffic accident.

Tributes for Seldon began pouring in following the heartbreaking news.

“This is devastating. We followed each other along with his father Andre Seldon Sr. Such nice people. I’m speechless. I’m so sorry @dresel85. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. I can’t imagine. Heartfelt condolences to your entire family and everyone who loved him,” wrote a fellow Michigan alum. “Thoughts and prayers from the Michigan fan, once a Wolverine always one,” added another.

“Prayers and love to Andre’s family & friends. Also the Aggie community,” wrote a Utah State fan.

‘I’M REALLY SAD’: ‘Morning Joe’ Hosts Mourn The Biden Presidency With Hilarious Eulogy

The New Atlantis

Supporters of President Joe Biden were mourning his exit from the race on Monday morning, especially “Morning Joe” host Mike Brzezinski, after she defended Biden’s competency and position in the polls long after his liberal peers had jumped ship.

Speaking alongside her co-host and husband Joe Scarborough, the MSNBC anchor spokes about the end of the Biden campaign in terms more befitting of a eulogy.

(VOTE NOW: Should SS Director Cheatle RESIGN Immediately?)

“I’m really sad. Joe Biden is a patriot. I love him, I love his family and I love what he’s done for the country,” Brzezinski said. “He had authenticity and touch. Whether you, you know, saw it or not, everything about him, even sometimes the stutter and the bumbling, was a part of the touch, part of the empathic, very loving, very clear, clear-eyed touch that he had, that allowed him and enabled him to be an effective president, but all that turned against him after the debate for all the reasons we discussed.”

A rash of liberal commentators in mainstream media outlets joined Brzezinski in congratulating the 81-year-old president for having the courage to step aside, papering over the strong-armed pressure campaign that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) promised to kick into overdrive this week if Biden didn’t drop out. She added that Democrats should “get behind the democracy ticket” and coronate Harris at the party’s convention in Chicago next month.

“It’s go time and Democrats really have a moment of momentum here, and my hope is that they grab it and run with it, get unified, get organized, get coordinated, no more infighting. Donald Trump is not easy to beat. He is not easy to beat, and anyone who thinks he is, is back in 2016, when they’re laughing at the concept,” Brzezinski said.

WATCH:

Both “Morning Joe” hosts went to exceptional lengths in letting President Biden defend his campaign in the weeks leading up to its sudden end. Following a disastrous debate performance on June 27th, Biden sat for an exclusive interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos which did little to assuage Democrats’ concerns about his mental acuity. Appearing on “Morning Joe” shortly after, an audibly agitated Biden became further ruffled after Brzezinski referred to him as the “presumptive nominee” for the Democrats. The show went to such lengths to defend Biden that MSNBC executives pulled it from the air out of fear of what Brzezinski or Scarborough might say two days after former President Donald Trump was nearly shot and killed.

Brzezinski added in her remarks that Republicans have already launched a “hate campaign” against the vice president, citing her sources “within Republican circles” and “right-wing media.”

“The hate campaign against Kamala Harris has begun. You’ll notice they purposefully pronounce her name wrong… they do it all the time, they do it on purpose. The talk is to start that hate campaign and get it going and get it churning. My hope is that major Democrats and major Republicans from the Obamas to the Bush family to military leaders, get behind the democracy ticket and move on.”

JUST IN: Key Democrat Senator Considers Challenging Kamala At Convention

The New Atlantis

Not all Democrats are circling the wagons around Vice President Kamala Harris’s plans to succeed her boss on the ticket.

News of President Joe Biden’s decision on Sunday to end his campaign reverberated through the party’s upper echelons into Monday as prominent liberal figures from former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) announced their endorsements of Harris for president. Others, like former President Barack Obama, were noticeably absent, leaving the door open to supporting the idea of a contested party convention next month.

(VOTE NOW: Should SS Director Cheatle RESIGN Immediately?)

One senator who is considering his chances in such a scenario is Joe Manchin (I-WV), the former Democrat turned independent who is now reportedly telling advisors he may re-register as a Democrat and pursue the party’s nomination at their Chicago convention. The Western Journal reported that Manchin, who was the first sitting senator to call on Biden to exit the race, is now giving serious consideration to throwing his hat in the ring.

Veteran Capitol Hill reporter Jake Tapper spoke with Sen. Manchin on Sunday where the West Virginia lawmaker reiterated his hope that the Democratic Party find its new nominee through an “open” and transparent nomination process. “I think that we have a lot of talent on the bench, a lot of good people,” Manchin told Tapper “And I’m partial to governors, because a governor can’t afford to be partial. They can’t afford to be partisan strictly because that pothole or that bridge doesn’t have a D or an R on it.”

Asked whom else he might like to see take on former President Donald Trump, Sen. Manchin pointed to several other red-state Democrats who remain popular despite state legislatures working against them. “I’ve got two tremendous governors right next door to me, Andy Beshear in Kentucky and Josh Shapiro in Pennsylvania, who are operating with legislatures either evenly split or completely opposite their party affiliation,” Manchin said. “They haven’t divided their state. They haven’t made you pick a side and demonize the other side.”

Beshear, who endorsed Harris late Sunday night, is reportedly under consideration to serve as her running mate, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Political conventions typically draw the most fervent activists within their Republican and Democratic constituencies, many of whom are more conservative or more liberal, respectively, than the parties’ presidential nominees. That would make it exceedingly hard for Sen. Manchin, who is loathed by the far left, to mount a serious challenge to Harris. Still, his role as a spoiler may force Democrats to reckon with the allegation that they are disregarding the will of millions of Democratic primary voters who voted for Biden and instead will coronate Harris. A lack of contest would fly in the face of a “blitz primary” previously floated by top Democrats, offering Democrats the chance to lean on celebrities like Taylor Swift to draw attention to their ticket.

President Trump on Sunday unleashed a barrage of attacks on Democrats for keeping news of Biden’s health ailments hidden from the public and promising to take the fight to Harris. “The Democrats pick a candidate, Crooked Joe Biden, he loses the Debate badly, then panics, and makes mistake after mistake, is told he can’t win, and decide they will pick another candidate, probably Harris. They stole the race from Biden after he won it in the primaries — A First! These people are the real THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!” he wrote early Monday morning.

NEW: Documents Confirm Secret Service Diverted Significant Resources To Jill Biden Event

The New Atlantis

Documents obtained from whistleblowers testifying about the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump have revealed that the Secret Service provided significantly more resources to First Lady Dr. Jill Biden that same day, bringing into question why agents were diverted after death threats emerged against the former president.

An investigation led by U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has so far found that the Secret Service assigned three “post” officers to Trump’s Butler, Pennsylvania rally on July 13, or additional detail members responsible for securing a certain segment of the perimeter. In contrast, Jill Biden’s visit to Pittsburgh drew 12 post officers. The disclosure was uncovered as part of Sen. Grassley’s investigation into correspondence within the Secret Service about how to staff both Trump and Jill Biden, who were just 33 miles apart that day.

(VOTE NOW: Should Secret Service Director Cheatle RESIGN Immediately?)

Ahead of Kimberly Cheatle’s congressional testimony on Monday, Grassley pressed the Secret Service director for answers in a public letter demanding to know the exact number of security personnel across all federal and local agencies staffing Trump. The request comes after a spokesman for the Secret Service denied that the agency understaffed Trump at a rally where he was shot in the ear by a round from a gunman’s high-caliber rifle.

“My office has received legally protected whistleblower disclosures that include records of communications between and among Secret Service personnel,” Grassley writes. “The records include communications from July 11, 2024, that show First Lady Jill Biden received 12 Secret Service personnel for ‘post standing’ for her event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024. Those same communications show that former President Trump received three Secret Service personnel for “post standing” for his event in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024. The information does not include a list of Department of Homeland Security HSI personnel or a total list of Secret Service personnel that may have been assigned to former President Trump for the rally.”

“On July 16, 2024, I wrote to the Secret Service and other agencies requesting records and information relating to the monumental security failure that resulted in the July 13, 2024, assassination attempt. As part of my request, I asked for a list of all personnel from all federal agencies present that day.”

“I welcome any additional information you can provide relating to these communications and the total number of federal employees that were present that day,” Grassley concludes.

Grassley, a longtime proponent of protections for federal whistleblowers, said the individuals who came forward were “facilitated” by Empower Oversight, a legal firm assisting whistleblowers’ communications to Congress according to RealClearPolitics. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) claimed Friday that whistleblowers also informed him that several members of former President Donald Trump’s security detail were not trained Secret Service members, a significant departure from previous remarks by the agency’s director.

In a letter released on X, the Missouri conservative writes to U.S. Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas asking why he reportedly authorized DHS officials to replace trained Secret Service agents responsible for securing the travels of President Trump.

“Whistleblowers who have direct knowledge of the event have approached my office. According to the allegations, the July 13 rally was considered to be a ‘loose’ security event. For example, detection canines were not used to monitor entry and detect threats in the usual manner. Individuals without proper designations were able to gain access to backstage areas. Department personnel did not appropriately police the security buffer around the podium and were also not stationed at regular intervals around the event’s security perimeter,” he writes.

Shooter’s Classmate Claims Crooks Was ‘Linked’ To ‘School Shooting Plot’ Years Ago

The New Atlantis

Thomas Crooks, the disturbed young man who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump on Saturday, was previously linked to a school shooting plot that was recently uncovered as part of the investigation into his motives, his former classmate claims.

The Western Journal reported on conversations authorities have had with a classmate who knew Crooks during that period at Bethel Park High School. Vincent Taormina revealed that the 20-year-old’s name was often circulated after school officials got wind of a supposed plot to commit a mass shooting that year. The student, Vincent Taormina, said, “A name that kept coming up was ‘Thomas.’” Taormina did not offer any additional details other than to say the incident occurred during his freshman year at Bethel Park.

VOTE NOW: Are You In Favor Of Term Limits For All Members Of Congress?

Crooks, who graduated with the class of 2022, would likely have been implicated during the 2016-2017 school year based on his age, the outlet estimated. “Everyone’s going through Snapchat, everyone’s texting everybody, everyone saying this, that and … Everybody was saying it was Thomas who made a threat and it was that friend group,” Taormina told Fox News.

“Everyone was mainly blaming the friend group, but a name that kept coming up was ‘Thomas,’” he added, saying that Crooks was out of school for several days after the school shooting probe. “It wasn’t anything like a suspension or anything,” he said. “It was just a couple of days.”

The story by Taormina has not been confirmed by any other former classmates or officials at the school but may serve as another data point about how or why Crooks failed to appear on authorities’ radar prior to Saturday. The former student said Crooks was considered pessimistic about both Republicans and Democrats, an opinion that could be reinforced by the recent discovery of photos of both Trump and President Joe Biden on his phone. Other politicians he was unhappy with included Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Taormina added that Crooks at one point told him he was disgusted at him for being a “Hispanic Trump supporter.”

“I brought up the fact that I’m Hispanic and I’m for Trump, and he said, ‘Well, you’re Hispanic, so shouldn’t you hate Trump?’ And I was like, ‘No. He’s great.’ … And he called me stupid. Or insinuated that I was stupid,” Taormina recalled, adding that he thought of Crooks as a “know-it-all.”

Just hours before the rally, Crooks’ parents alerted local police that their son was missing and may have reported that he stole the AR-15 rifle owned by his father, a registered libertarian. Further investigation showed that Crooks was spotted hours before the event’s planned start time and he was seen scouring the field. Shortly before the event, authorities photographed him crawling along the ground with a rangefinder, typically used by hunters and shooters to determine their distance from a target.

He ultimately nicked the ear of President Trump with a round, killed 50-year-old father Corey Comperatore and seriously injured two others on stage that day.

NEW: Investigators Reveal Latest Findings From Shooter’s Phone

The New Atlantis

Investigators working to piece together a motive behind Saturday’s assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump have revealed startling new evidence obtained from the phone of the shooter.

Thomas Crooks, the 20-year-old recent high school graduate who fired an AR-15 rifle at the former president from a nearby rooftop before being shot and killed, may have planned to target President Joe Biden instead or in addition. That’s the message suggested by photos of both men found in Crooks’ phone after it was unlocked earlier this week as part of the FBI’s investigation, the Washington Post reported. Lawmakers were briefed on the contents of the phone, according to sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

VOTE NOW: Are You In Favor Of Term Limits For All Members Of Congress?

Strangely, images of other high-profile figures were also saved in the phone’s camera roll, including U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and a member of the British Royal Family, though who it may have been is unclear. Searches performed on the phone show Crooks seeking out information about major depressive disorder and Saturday’s Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Hours before he disappeared, Crooks’ parents alerted law enforcement and may have reported the father’s AR-15 rifle being stolen, and neighbors who spoke with Fox News retold a chilling story about seeing Crooks lurking about in his yard.

The Post also reported that Crooks may have scoured the site of the rally up to six days in advance and appeared on Saturday well before the event’s start time, drawing suspicion from security personnel which was not acted upon. Before the shooting began, local law enforcement officers responsible for securing the site’s perimeter photographed Crooks crawling along the ground with a rangefinder as he sought a vantage point for the stage. The disturbing behavior was reported back to headquarters but not acted upon, other outlets have added. FBI agents used technology from Cellebrite, a popular private-sector company well-known among law enforcement organizations for assistance in hacking into the phones of terrorist suspects after major security incidents

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) on Friday publicly condemned U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas after a whistleblower came forward claiming that DHS backfilled President Trump’s security detail with guards who were not trained Secret Service agents. Kimberly Cheatle, the embattled Secret Service director, has been similarly hounded by Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) over her vague answers about why the rooftop Crooks positioned himself on remained unguarded.

“He had a range finder and a backpack,” Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) said during Wednesday’s hearing, adding his voice to the chorus of calls for Cheatle to resign.

Crooks’ parents, who are cooperating with the investigation, have brought authorities no closer to obtaining a motive. While the young man was a registered Republican, his mother is a registered Democrat and his father a libertarian. Local GOP activists claim they never dropped off a Trump yard sign to the house while former classmates of Crooks have described him as being a “Trump hater” but also generally disillusioned with both major parties. He sent a shocking message the day of the shooting, warning fellow gamers on a message board that July 13th would “be my premiere” to the world.

BREAKING: Biden Family Begins Discussing Plan To Step Down, NBC Reports

The New Atlantis

Family members surrounding President Joe Biden are reportedly past the point of encouraging him to run out the clock on Democrats’ calls that he exit the race. Instead, they are working with the embattled leader to plan when and how he ends his reelection campaign in the coming days.

NBC News reported that some of the president’s closest family members, including First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and his son Hunter Biden, are working with the patriarch to manage a departure on his own terms. Axios has previously reported that allies believe President Biden may break the news as soon as this weekend, though those plans remain fluid, according to two sources close to the White House.

VOTE NOW: Do you blame BIDEN or TRUMP for the crashing economy?

The overall tone of the conversations has placed heavy emphasis on putting the Democratic Party in the best position to defeat President Donald Trump, insiders say, a strategy which includes keeping the president neutral even as Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to enter the race to succeed him. Instead, Biden may be getting behind the idea of a “blitz primary” where Harris would compete on equal footing with other notable Democrats, participating in forums with guest hosts – perhaps even Taylor Swift – before heading into a national convention where hundreds of uncommitted Democratic delegates would be up for grabs.

WATCH:

Another aspect of the looming announcement is how it might affect President Biden’s overall health. He remains isolated after contracting Covid and was sick for a week leading up to his dismal debate performance last month. Hunter’s recent conviction on gun charges has taken a heavy toll on the president’s mind as well, allies say.

To be sure, the change in strategy is all the more remarkable because of the defiant tone struck by Biden and his top aides about remaining in the race. On Thursday, Politico sent a text message to advisor Anita Dunn, writing, “As you probably know rumors are rampant that POTUS is dropping out tomorrow.”

She simply texted back, “Yes, but he isn’t, so get a good night’s sleep.”

At the same time, panic has grown significantly as Democrats have watched with growing unease the cause for celebration at this week’s Republican National Convention where President Trump was greeted like a modern-day biblical figure after surviving Saturday’s attempted assassination. During CNN’s coverage on Thursday, progressive commentator Van Jones compared the energy in the hall to Democrats’ nomination of former President Barack Obama in 2008.

“This spirit that this guy has, you guys think that’s ‘cause he’s drunk,’ he’s not,” Jones said about fellow guest and Republican Scott Jennings. “This whole thing is like this. The last time I was in a convention that felt like this was Obama 2008.”

“And just like Obama, Trump is showing at this convention, he has the capacity to alter the composition of the electorate,” Jennings replied, according to The Hill.

White House spokesman Andrew Bates has been working the phones to furiously deny the report, telling NBC News in a statement that no decision by the Biden clan has been made. “That is not happening, period,” he said. “The individuals making those claims are not speaking for his family or his team — and they will be proven wrong. Keep the faith.”

Those words were echoed by Biden campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon who appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” to defend the campaign shortly before host Joe Scarborough went on an extended screed about the selfishness of advisors keeping Biden in the race.

Ron Klain, Biden’s former White House chief of staff and an adviser to him for decades, told NBC News he’s pulling for his friend. “I think he’s feeling the pressure,” said Klain, who has spoken to Biden recently. “I want him to stay in.”

BREAKING: Josh Hawley Drops BOMBSHELL About Trump’s Rally Security: ‘Not Even Secret Service’

The New Atlantis

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) claimed on Friday that whistleblowers have informed him that several members of former President Donald Trump’s security detail were not trained Secret Service members, a significant departure from previous remarks by the agency’s director.

Hawley claims whistleblowers have told him that the Biden Administration authorized DHS officials to replace Secret Service agents on Trump’s security detail.

In a letter released on X, the Missouri conservative writes to U.S. Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas asking why he reportedly authorized DHS officials to replace trained Secret Service agents responsible for securing the travels of President Trump.

VOTE NOW: Do you blame BIDEN or TRUMP for the crashing economy?

“Whistleblowers who have direct knowledge of the event have approached my office. According to the allegations, the July 13 rally was considered to be a ‘loose’ security event. For example, detection canines were not used to monitor entry and detect threats in the usual manner. Individuals without proper designations were able to gain access to backstage areas. Department personnel did not appropriately police the security buffer around the podium and were also not stationed at regular intervals around the event’s security perimeter,” he writes.

“In addition, whistleblower allegations suggest the majority of DHS officials were not in fact USSS agents but instead drawn from the department’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). This is especially concerning given that HSI agents were unfamiliar with standard protocols typically used at these types of events, according to the allegations.”

Hawley, a member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, has promised to hold Homeland Security responsible for failing to ensure that agents around Trump were appropriately trained though will likely be blockaded by Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI) who chairs the committee.

Going on, Sen. Hawley claims to have “learned more from your whistleblowers than your department officials,” a reference to Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle who faces heavy scrutiny for overseeing the agency’s worst failure since the 1981 shooting of former President Ronald Reagan. In the letter, he goes on to ask how DHS selected local law enforcement partners for securing the rally, some of whom remain under investigation by the FBI after failing to confront the gunman. Hawley also asks if the agents around Trump were properly trained and whether security gaps existed. Supporters of Trump have pointed to several female agents who appeared to struggle with their firearms or cover Trump in the aftermath of the shooting, something Trump has refrained from doing himself. However, he was spotted several days later on the floor of the Republican National Convention with an all-male security team.

Sen. Hawley also demanded to know how long agents spend “on the ground” surveying the site before Saturday’s rally began, alluding to claims that the gunman was able to scour the field and surrounding buildings up to six days in advance. Before he was shot and killed, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks was able to fire multiple high-caliber rifle rounds at President Trump from a rooftop with a direct line of sight to the stage. Cheatle has blamed a slope in the roof for choosing not to place an agent at the location.

If historians look back on 2024 for a moment when Democrats finally called it quits on President Joe Biden, they might add his close friend Joe Scarborough’s request that he “do the right thing” to the footnotes.

The MSNBC host told “Morning Joe” viewers on Thursday that his sympathy for the embattled president has run out, and it’s time for his top aides to admit there is no path to victory in November. The change of heart comes after months of Scarborough and his co-host, Mika Brzezinski, playing the role of happy warrior while Biden sank in the polls, at one point inviting him on to explain away his dismal debate performance. In his remarks, Scarborough was remarkably blunt in assessing the damage Biden’s intransigence is doing to the ticket.

Biden “has been an extremely successful president,” he said. “However, when you’re told by members of Congress that they’re losing, they’re gonna lose the House and the Senate if he stays on the ticket; when you’re told by members of Congress that you’re losing swing states and that your numbers are going down in swing states – states like Virginia and New Hampshire, New Mexico, Minnesota – are now in play; and when your top fundraiser… is telling you the money’s gone, the donors have all gone away… you know, it’s really incumbent on the people that are around Joe Biden to step up at this point and help the president and the man they love and do the right thing,” Scarborough said, adding emphasis.

“This is not going to end well if it continues to drag out. Look at the events of yesterday. The events of the last three weeks, and at some point, you know… I can tell you the anger that I hear is not at Joe Biden. The anger I hear are the people that are keeping him in a bubble or who may have their own interests, some financial, in keeping him in the race.”

“Let me tell you: that’s not just the anger from inside Congress. That is anger from inside his own political campaign, and it is widespread,” he added. “Joe Biden deserves better.”

WATCH:

As members of Hollywood and the Democratic elite began to bail on Biden in greater numbers, his supporters were always able to count on the MSNBC husband and wife couple to put forward robust defenses of his position in the polls, redirecting their anger toward former President Donald Trump or, on some occasions, one another. Their ire focused on network executives this week after “Morning Joe” was pulled from the air for 24 hours two days after President Trump avoided an assassination attempt after fears surfaced about what the hosts or their guests would do or say that could jeopardize the network at an extremely delicate time amid an outpouring of sympathy for the former president.

Multiple media outlets have confirmed that President Biden appears to be stepping toward the point of no return, with insiders characterizing him as being more receptive to stepping aside though angry at longtime allies like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer for “stabbing him in the back,” one ally told Politico. A decision to exit the campaign may come as soon as this weekend, but aides insist Biden will not resign the presidency. Going forward, they suggest he would not endorse Vice President Kamala Harris, instead opting to let uncommitted delegates on the floor of next month’s Democratic National Convention be swayed by any and all contenders for his place at the top of the ticket.
