Critics Slam ‘Time’ Magazine Over ‘North Korea-Level’ Pro-Harris Cover

The New Atlantis

“Time” Magazine is under fire from both sides of the political spectrum over a glowing profile of Vice-President Harris that was released despite Harris’ decision to decline an interview with the outlet.

The new cover features a portrait of Harris done in a style reminiscent of the Obama campaign’s famous “Hope and Change” posters from 2008. Titled “The Re-Introduction of Kamala Harris,” the cover is complete with a caption reading “Her Moment” in the bottom right-hand corner.

The magazine opted to release the title despite the fact that Harris declined an interview with the outlet. As of this report, Harris has gone 22 days without sitting for a formal interview or hosting a press conference after she received the Democrat Party nomination for president without receiving a single primary vote.

“Harris has yet to do a single substantive interview or to explain her policy shifts. (Her campaign denied a request for an interview for this story),” the outlet wrote in a brief note.

Much of the piece read as a fawning endorsement of Harris and compared the atmosphere at her campaign events to that of a Taylor Swift concert. The Harris Campaign has invited several artists, including Megan Thee Stallion and Bon Iver, to perform free concerts ahead of her rallies.

In some instances, “rally goers” have been seen exiting the event venue as soon as the free concert concludes.

The magazine also quoted several high-profile Democrats, who provided their own glowing endorsements of Harris. “To consolidate the Democratic Party in a matter of hours, to do as many visible events and establish that presence without putting a foot wrong, is a feat,” said Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

“I don’t think anybody expected her to be so flawless,” he added.

The new cover generated largely negative reactions on X, as many political commentators compared the glowing story to state-run media.

“The way the US corporate media transformed Kamala Harris from a national embarrassment to a transformative pioneer overnight — without even pretending to care about anything that she thinks or believes — is a powerful testament to how potent the science of propaganda is,” wrote veteran journalist Glenn Greenwald.

“The corporate media’s mission, as they see it, is to help Kamala win, not denounce her for refusing to sit down in interviews and explain what she thinks about anything or why,” he continued. “Even though she told TIME to f off, they still published hagiography of her.”

Economic news account “Geiger Capital” compared the cover to “North Korea-level worshipping.”

“The way the US corporate media has tried to transform Kamala Harris from a consensus joke to a historic leader in a matter of weeks, without even pretending to care about her policies or ideas, shows how blatant US propaganda has become,” they wrote.

The new issue is set to release in full on August 26.

WATCH: CNN Host Downplays Vance’s Military Service While Defending Walz

CNN political commentator Brianna Keilar downplayed J.D. Vance’s military service while attempting to defend Minnesota Governor Tim Walz from criticism over his military record.

Governor Walz has been under fire this week over questions surrounding his military service record. Soldiers from his unit with the Minnesota National Guard have questioned the circumstances surrounding his retirement just before a deployment to Iraq, and have noted that he has misrepresented his rank while on the campaign trail.

He has also claimed to have “carried weapons of war,” during a war,” and has insinuated that he was a veteran of the War in Afghanistan.

“I also think that J.D. Vance as a messenger on this may be an imperfect messenger because we have, as you introduced him, as a combat correspondent, which was what his title was. But when you dig a little deeper into that, he was a public affairs specialist, someone who did not see combat, which certainly the title, combat correspondent, kind of gives you a different impression,” Keilar said, seemingly downplaying Vance’s 2005 deployment to Iraq. “So he may be the imperfect messenger on that.”

Vance soon responded to Keilar’s statement in an X post.

It’s easy to sit in the comfort and safety of a @CNN studio and trivialize the service of countless men and women who risked their lives. I served with some of the people mentioned in this thread,” Vance wrote while tagging Keilar. “I served with some of the people mentioned in this thread. I miss them all very much. Shameful of  @brikeilarcnn to slander an entire MOS.”

The tweet was made in response to several questions surrounding the military record of Governor Walz.

In a 2018 endorsement letter to the West Central Tribune, retired Command Sergeant Majors Thomas Behrends and Paul Herr shared their lengthy experiences with Governor Walz during their time in the Minnesota National Guard

“Tim Walz has embellished and selectively omitted facts and circumstances of his military career for years,” the men wrote. “We, retired Command Sergeants Major of the Minnesota National Guard, feel it is our duty and responsibility to bring forth the truth as we know it concerning his service record. So, we have put together a timeline of his service post 9/11.”

The retired veterans further accused Walz of abandoning his unit just before they were deployed to a combat zone in Iraq. In 2005, one year after he had been promoted to Command Sergeant Major of the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion, Walz left his soldiers “hanging” at the crucial time, the men wrote.

“His excuse to other leaders was that he needed to retire in order to run for congress,” reads the letter.  “Which is false, according to a Department of Defense Directive, he could have run and requested permission from the Secretary of Defense before entering active duty; as many reservists have.

“If he had retired normally and respectfully, you would think he would have ensured his retirement documents were correctly filled out and signed, and that he would have ensured he was reduced to Master Sergeant for dropping out of the academy. Instead he waited for the paperwork to catch up to him. His official retirement document states, SOLDIER NOT AVAILABLE FOR SIGNATURE.”As a result, Walz was demoted to master sergeant, the two retired veterans continued.

This, they claim, contradicts his claim that he was the highest-ranking enlisted man ever elected to Congress.

CNN has conceded that Walz has used loose language to describe his military exploits, while the Harris Campaign has quietly deleted reference to his rank

WATCH: Trump Campaign Releases Brutal Ad Focusing On Tim Walz: ‘Too Weird, Too Radical’

The New Atlantis

Former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has released a brutal attack ad focusing on Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

The ad takes aim at the Harris Campaign’s embrace of calling their political opponents “weird,” a message that is popular with the online left. Walz has been credited with coining the message, which made him popular with the far-left in the days leading up to Harris’ running mate selection.

The ad begins by drawing attention to a law signed by Walz that mandated the placement of menstrual products in boys bathrooms across public schools in Minnesota. “What could be weirder than signing a bill into law that requires schools to stock tampons in boys bathrooms? Or weirder than signing legislation allowing minors to receive sex-change operations,” a narrator begins. “Try electing the man who signed those bills, vice president of the United States. Enter chief weirdo, Tim Walz.”

It proceeds to draw attention to a number of far-left social bills signed by Walz, including one that makes Minnesota a “sanctuary state” for minors to receive sex-change operations.

“As Governor of Minnesota, Walz supported legislation that endangers minors, hurts women, and puts radical ideology ahead of common sense. Now, Kamala wants Walz to enforce those laws on a national scale,” the narrator continues. “Tim Walz: too weird, too radical.”

BREAKING: Nancy Pelosi Admits She Pressured Biden To Drop Out Of Race

The New Atlantis

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) admitted to her role in pressuring President Biden to drop out of the presidential race in a candid interview with The New Yorker.

Sources close to both the Biden family and the upper echelons of the Democratic Party have for weeks reported that a coordinated effort spearheaded by former President Barack Obama, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Pelosi was launched with the aim of pressuring Biden to step aside. The effort was launched after the president’s disastrous debate performance this past June.

According to a report from the New York Post, Pelosi, Obama and others signed off on using the 25th Amendment — under which a president would be forced to resign if deemed mentally incapable by cabinet members — if President Biden refused to play ball.

CAST YOUR VOTE: Should Voter ID Be Mandatory In The 2024 Election?

On Thursday, Pelosi became the first person who has been implicated in the plot to speak publicly about it.

I love him so much. I think he’s been a really a fantastic president of the United States. So I really wanted him to make a decision of a better campaign. Because they were not facing the fact of what was happening,” Pelosi told the New Yorker. “Just a little background. I’ve never been that impressed with his political operation.”

When asked to clarify, she confirmed that she was talking about President Biden’s political operation. “Yeah, I’m not. I mean, I just haven’t. They won the White House, bravo,” Pelosi said.

“But so my concern was this ain’t happening and we have to make a decision for this to happen and the president has to make the decision for that to happen. Let me just say, I won’t say necessarily I knew what I was doing at that time. I knew what I was doing in the whole thing, not just that ship,” the former House speaker went on to say.

“And what was that?” the interviewer followed up, to which Pelosi responded with, “That Donald Trump would never set foot in the White House again.”

The shocking revelation comes as details continue to emerge surrounding the shadowy plot to oust President Biden. Obama, Schumer, Pelosi and others has hoped to hold a “mini primary” at the Democratic National Convention later this month, at which point the party would decide on a new nominee.

Obama was “furious” when Biden opted to endorse Vice President Harris, according to a report from the New York Post citing a high-profile Democratic Party source.

“Obama knows she’s just incompetent — the border czar who never visited the border, saying that all migrants should have health insurance. She cannot navigate the landmines that are ahead of her,” the source said. “When you are running for president there are things you can and can’t say.

A debate between Trump and Harris — which is now scheduled for September — is a point of worry for Obama. “Wait until the debate… She can’t debate. She’s going to put her foot in her mouth about Israel, Palestine, Ukraine. She’s going to say something really stupid,” the source said.

The source further revealed that Obama was keen on Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) and had hoped to endorse him ahead of the Democratic National Convention.

According to the source, Obama was caught off guard by Biden’s decision to endorse Harris roughly 15 minutes after announcing he would not be seeking re-election. Biden’s initial statement did not mention Harris, leaving Obama “furious” when he opted to back her candidacy.

“Obama is ‘furious,’ things haven’t gone his way, which is why he is not joining in the Democratic Party’s support of Harris,” the insider added.

BREAKING: Kamala Folds, Accepts One Debate But Cowers Out Of Two

The New Atlantis

Vice President Kamala Harris has accepted just one of three debate requests from former President Donald Trump after weeks of accusing him of ducking.

On Thursday afternoon, former President Trump announced that he had agreed to three debates with Vice President Harris this fall.

“All of that being said, I think it’s very important to have debates. And we’ve agreed with Fox on a date of September 4th. We’ve agreed with NBC, fairly full agreement subject to them, on September 10th. And we’ve agreed with ABC on September 25th. So we have those three dates. So we have September 4th, September 10th, and September 25th,” Trump said during a press conference at Mar-A-Lago.

“We have spoken to the heads of the network, and it’s all been confirmed, other than some fairly minor details. Audience, some location, which city would we put it into, but all things that will be settled very easily, very, I think it will be very easy. The other side has to agree to the terms. They may or may not agree.”

Harris ultimately agreed to just one of three debate challenges via X post. “I hear that Donald Trump has finally committed to debating me on September 10,” she wrote. “I look forward to that.”

Harris had been accusing Trump of ducking a debate for days even though the former president agreed to a debate with her just last week. The vice president was urging Trump to honor terms of the debate he had agreed to with President Biden, though the Trump Campaign stated that Harris would have to negotiate their own debate after she was selected in a backroom deal as opposed to a primary process.

It is unclear whether the debate will have any significant deviations from the CNN debate between Trump and Biden that took place back in June. The CNN debate was filmed in the network’s studios in Atlanta, away from a studio audience, and included a feature that muted each candidate’s microphone when the other was speaking.

Multiple Advertisers Pressured Rumble To Drop Conservative Creators, CEO Reveals thumbnail

Multiple Advertisers Pressured Rumble To Drop Conservative Creators, CEO Reveals

The New Atlantis

Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski joined Fox Business on Wednesday to discuss the major anti-trust lawsuit filed by Rumble and X against a major group of advertisers, which accuses them of coordinating a boycott against spending money on the platforms. Pavlovski later took to X with emails from advertising agencies in which the company was pressured to drop right-wing creators and do away with “right-wing culture” if they wanted advertising deals.

“If you’re an advertiser and you don’t wanna advertise on Rumble or X, that’s totally fine. You have the option to do that. But the problem happens when you have a consortium, or a group like the world federation of advertisers, or the group that they created called GARM, which then assembles all these advertisers and agencies, which creates a huge amount of power for GARM to basically instruct these companies on whether or not and how they want to employ brand safety standards,” Pavlovski told Fox Business.

(STAY INFORMED! Download the FREE Trending Politics app)

“They then can now discriminate against certain voices on other platforms,” he continued. “If they don’t like what some speech might happen on Rumble or X, they can say, we’re not going to touch that, which then causes advertising rates to go higher because now they’re only accessing a certain portion of the market and then drives higher prices for their shareholders and their brands. This harms the advertisers, the shareholders, it creates a higher fees for the agencies and also harms Rumble creators and Rumble viewers and the Rumble platform.”

Pavlovski went on to describe ad agencies of operating as a “harmful monopoly.”

On Wednesday afternoon, Pavlovski revealed the first of a series of conversations with advertisers surrounding the prospect of deals with Rumble.

The first email was from Diageo North America, a leading alcoholic beverage company that is part of the “GARM Steer Team,” Pavlovski noted. In an email to Rumble, Diageo wrote that “there is no scenario where we approve a platform that has Steven Crowder, Alex Jones or the like. The content on your platform is non-compliant pretty much across every category we try to avoid.”

Similar sentiments were expressed by Inspire Brands, whose clients include Dunkin’ Donuts, Baskin Robbins, Jimmy Johns and a number of additional high-profile brands. “To be honest [redacted], I would be opposed to showing up on the current version of the platform — the right-wing culture of the site is too polarizing from a brand standpoint today,” a representative for Inspire Brands wrote in an email to Rumble.

They added that they will be open to continuing discussions “as the platform evolves.”

“When you have a monopoly and you create a monopoly by assembling all this power and control to dictate a certain standard of how you’re gonna spend that money, that’s not a free market. The Sherman Act does not allow that,” Pavlovski told Fox Business.

“So that’s illegal.  There’s different rules and standards when you’re a monopoly. And what the World Federation of Advertisers has done is they created a monopoly to basically tell all these advertisers how they should spend money based on certain speech,” he continued.

“So you can’t use the First Amendment by having a monopoly to dictate how you’re going to deploy funds. This is harmful to their advertisers. It’s harmful to the Rumble creators. And it’s basically, there’s a completely different set of rules when you’re in monopoly, and that’s how you have to look at this. They monopolize the ad budgets.

( STAY INFORMED! Download the FREE Trending Politics app ) “They then can now discriminate against certain voices on other platforms,” he continued. “If they don’t like what some speech might happen on Rumble or X, they can say, we’re not going to touch that, which then causes advertising rates to go higher because now they’re only accessing a certain portion of the market and then drives higher prices for their shareholders and their brands. This harms the advertisers, the shareholders, it creates a higher fees for the agencies and also harms Rumble creators and Rumble viewers and the Rumble platform.” Pavlovski went on to describe ad agencies of operating as a “harmful monopoly.” On Wednesday afternoon, Pavlovski revealed the first of a series of conversations with advertisers surrounding the prospect of deals with Rumble. The content on your platform is non-compliant pretty much across every category we try to avoid.”   Similar sentiments were expressed by Inspire Brands, whose clients include Dunkin’ Donuts, Baskin Robbins, Jimmy Johns and a number of additional high-profile brands. “To be honest [redacted], I would be opposed to showing up on the current version of the platform — the right-wing culture of the site is too polarizing from a brand standpoint today,” a representative for Inspire Brands wrote in an email to Rumble. They added that they will be open to continuing discussions “as the platform evolves.” Photo: Chris Pavlovski via X “When you have a monopoly and you create a monopoly by assembling all this power and control to dictate a certain standard of how you’re gonna spend that money, that’s not a free market. WATCH: Kamala Harris Once Again Speaks With Bizarre Accent: ‘Courts Are Gon’ Handle Dat’

Vice President Kamala Harris once again deviated from her normal speaking voice and instead went with somewhat of a cross between an urban and southern accent during a campaign rally in Detroit, Michigan on Wednesday.

Harris and her newly-minted running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, were in Michigan for their second rally of the day on Wednesday after addressing supporters in Wisconsin earlier in the afternoon. While Harris was speaking about the politically motivated cases against former President Donald Trump, she once again appeared to be speaking in a southern accent.

“Here’s the thing; the courts are gonna handle dat, we got’ beat em’ in Novemba. We got’ beat em’ in November,” Harris told the crowd.

Harris — the daughter of Indian and Jamaican parents who spent much of her upbringing in Canada — has a history of speaking with bizarre accents that are not her own while on the campaign trail.

In Atlanta earlier this month, Harris spoke with a southern accent during a campaign rally in Atlanta that began just after a Megan Thee Stallion concert. “And you all helped us win in 2020, and we gon’ do it again in 2024,” the vice president declared with a southern twang.

While addressing voters ahead of the Georgia Senate runoff elections in 2020, Harris spoke with some sort of southern drawl while speaking in Columbus. “We’re looking across the country at so much devastation. People who have lost family members, lost time being able to go to work, lost time in terms of our children’s education and the days of their education they have missed,” then Vice President-elect Harris told supporters while frequently pausing as if she were giving a sermon.

Harris’ spontaneous southern accent has also surfaced during campaign events in North Carolina and Washington D.C.

NEW: RNC Scores Major Election Integrity Victory In Crucial Swing State

The New Atlantis

The Republican National Committee, in conjunction with the Nevada secretary of state’s office, announced that more than 90,000 inactive voters have been cleared from the rolls in Clark County, which is the crucial swing state’s most populous.

“The Nevada Republican Party is proud to announce the successful clean-up of voter rolls in Clark County. This achievement is the result of dedicated efforts by the NVGOP, the Republican National Committee, Trump Campaign, and numerous grassroots organizations, in collaboration with the Nevada Secretary of State and Clark Registrar of Voters,” the RNC announced in a press release.

“This concerted effort has led to the removal of over 90,000 voters who should no longer be considered active, significantly enhancing the accuracy and integrity of the voter.”

The executive board of the Nevada Republican Party expressed satisfaction with the effort in a statement of their own. “We are incredibly pleased with the recent voter roll clean-up in Clark County. Our team has worked tirelessly to ensure a fair and free election this November. We look forward to seeing the results of the voter roll clean-ups in the other 16 counties,” the party said.

“As we approach the upcoming November elections, the NVGOP will continue to work closely with state and local officials to ensure that voter rolls across all counties are accurate and up-to-date.”

Removing inactive voters from state rolls has become a major focus of the RNC’s election integrity efforts ahead of the 2024 election.

In Virginia, Attorney General Jason Miyares recently announced that a similar effort has been undertaken in his state. “6,303. That’s the number of noncitizens identified and removed from Virginia’s voting rolls under our watch,” Miyares wrote in an X post. “I’m proud of my office’s work to help ensure election integrity.”

The move comes after Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin issued an executive order focused on election integrity. Under the order, Virginia has increased monitoring of address changes, deaths and other changes in order to remove voters from the rolls. In addition, Virginia has entered into data sharing agreements with 42 states and has instituted mandatory audits.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was seen fleeing at a brisk pace when a reporter asked him about reports that he has misrepresented his military service record.

The exchange came shortly after Walz and Vice President Kamala Harris touched down in Wisconsin for the second in a series of swing state campaign rallies after Walz was formally selected as the Democratic vice-presidential candidate on Tuesday. As Walz and Harris mingled with a hand-selected group of supporters on the tarmac, a reporter could be heard asking questions about the Minnesota governor’s service record.

“Governor, Vance accused you of stolen valor. Your response?” the reporter shouted. After he failed to receive a response, the reporter once again asked the same question as Walz was turning to leave the tarmac.

At that point, the governor’s pace picked up significantly as he quickly darted towards an awaiting Secret Service vehicle.

CAST YOUR VOTE: Should Voter ID Be Mandatory In The 2024 Election?

Walz has been under increasing scrutiny not only from the Trump-Vance campaign, but left-leaning media outlets such as CNN as questions continue to surround his military service record.

In a 2018 endorsement letter to the West Central Tribune, retired Command Sergeant Majors Thomas Behrends and Paul Herr shared their lengthy experiences with Governor Walz during their time in the Minnesota National Guard.

His official retirement document states, SOLDIER NOT AVAILABLE FOR SIGNATURE.”

As a result, Walz was demoted to master sergeant, the two retired veterans continued. This, they claim, contradicts his claim that he was the highest-ranking enlisted man ever elected to Congress.

On Wednesday, Republican nominee for vice president J.D. Vance accused Walz of stolen valor over the claims.

“As a Marine who served his country in uniform when the United States Marine Corps, when the United States of America asked me to go to Iraq to serve my country, I did it. I did what they asked me to do, and I did it honorably,” he said. “When Tim Walz was asked by his country to go to Iraq, you know what he did? He dropped out of the Army and allowed his unit to go without him, a fact that he’s been criticized for aggressively by a lot of the people that he served with.”

Vance continued, “I think it’s shameful to prepare your unit to go to Iraq, to make a promise that you’re going to follow through, and then to drop out right before you actually have to go.”

He went on to point to a past statement from Walz in which he seemed to suggest that he carried weapons in a combat zone. “I’ve been voting for common sense legislation that protects the Second Amendment, but we can do background checks. We can do CDC research. We can make sure we don’t have reciprocal carry among states,”  Walz said while addressing a group of supporters about gun control.

“And we can make sure that those weapons of war that I carried in war is the only place where those weapons are allowed.”

The claim that Walz “carried weapons of war” in a war zone has drawn heavy criticism from a number of media outlets, including CNN.

“There is a significant difference between being stationed in a combat area during wartime and being under direct enemy fire,” noted CNN. The network’s fact-check pointed out that no evidence supports Walz’s implications of facing direct combat, labeling these assertions as “absolutely false.
