The Hunt For Matthew Perry’s Killer Intensifies As New Person of Interest is Revealed

The New Atlantis

The saga surrounding Matthew Perry’s untimely death has seen new developments in the criminal investigation into his fatal overdose last October. Triggered by the discovery that the beloved actor succumbed to the “acute effects of ketamine,” authorities have been unearthing layers of his final months.

Perry, widely recognized for his role as Chandler Bing on the TV show “Friends,” tragically passed away at the age of 54. His death on October 28, 2023, was attributed to the acute effects of ketamine, as determined by an autopsy. The circumstances around his death have led to a complex investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies, including the LAPD and DEA, which is exploring potential criminal charges related to how Perry obtained the ketamine. Authorities are investigating several individuals connected to the distribution of the drug, and involuntary manslaughter is considered a likely charge given the circumstances.

In June, a bombshell report disclosed a shocking new lead: law enforcement seized an iPhone and a laptop from a sober living residence in Los Angeles, belonging to none other than Brooke Mueller, a well-known socialite and actress famously linked as Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife. The two had reportedly formed an unlikely bond during one of Perry’s many stints in rehab.

An insider revealed to In Touch last month that Mueller, now living in a Los Angeles sober living facility, had a previous connection with Perry. “She had been in treatment with Matthew before, and they had a lot of ties in the acting community,” the source said. “It was an unexpected friendship, but they leaned on each other.”

Mueller also appeared in various film and television projects, though much of her media coverage has focused on her personal life, including her struggles with substance abuse and her interactions with the legal system. Her relationship with Sheen, which included a highly publicized divorce and custody battles over their children, often overshadowed her career in entertainment.

In a later report, In Touch reported that a second celebrity might be involved in the investigation into Perry’s death. A source claims that this celebrity, along with Perry, pretended to be sober but were actually heavily medicated, often engaging in deep conversations about their struggles with addiction, sobriety, and personal matters into the late hours. Additionally, there is photographic evidence showing Perry and this second individual at a doctor’s office known for prescribing ketamine, which sparks further intrigue.

The source suspects that Perry and his celebrity friend might have helped each other by recommending their own doctors to maintain their drug supplies when needed. Ketamine, the drug that caused Perry’s death, affects the central nervous system, leading to severe respiratory depression, significant changes in heart rate and blood pressure, and reduced levels of consciousness, which can all contribute to a potentially deadly outcome.

In cases of a ketamine overdose, the central nervous system’s depressant effects might overwhelm the body’s ability to maintain vital functions. This can result in a critical decrease in breathing rate and depth, potentially leading to hypoxia (a lack of oxygen reaching the brain and other vital organs) and respiratory failure. Additionally, ketamine can cause cardiovascular complications, including arrhythmias or drastic changes in blood pressure, further increasing the risk of a fatal outcome.

Perry’s investigation remains ongoing as officials determine the full scope and responsibility for the events leading to his death.

Gavin Newsom Trolled By Massive Crowd of Trump Supporters

Gavin Newsom Trolled By Massive Crowd of Trump Supporters

The New Atlantis

On a bright Saturday in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, what was meant to be a routine stump speech by California Governor Gavin Newsom quickly turned into a showcase of support—not for him, but for former President Donald Trump.

As Newsom campaigned for Joe Biden in Pennsylvania, the scene outside told a different story, with reports indicating a larger crowd of Trump supporters than Democrats.

Newsom has been vocal in his support for Biden amidst growing concerns over the president’s age and cognitive capabilities. These concerns were amplified following Biden’s recent debate performance against Trump on June 27, with both parties questioning his readiness for another term.

As Newsom drove by, he found himself in an unexpected confrontation—not with policy critics, but with a flash mob of Trump supporters. The gathering, vibrant and charged, waved banners and chanted, overshadowing the intended message of unity and support for Biden.

WATCH:

Many signs were a nod to fears that Newsom’s progressive policies in California might influence Pennsylvania’s political landscape. The enthusiasm for Trump, evident in the number of supporters showing up, may signal a challenging road ahead for Biden’s campaign.

“If Donald Trump succeeds, God help us, we will roll back the last half century,” Newsom said to his audience. “Look what the Biden-Harris administration has done to turn that around. I don’t need to tell Bucks County to buck up, Democrats deliver, Democrats did that, you did that, our president did that, he delivered.”

Recent polls from Pennsylvania show former President Trump leading Joe Biden in the 2024 general election. A Morning Consult/Bloomberg poll from early July gives Trump a 7-point lead, with other surveys from late June and early July showing Trump ahead by 3 to 5 points.

Heart attacks have been increasingly become a concern in recent years, particularly among younger populations. On a broader scale, the age-adjusted death rate from heart disease has seen an increase, reversing the long-term declining trend in previous years.

The increase in heart attack rates among younger people, particularly noted post-COVID-19 pandemic, is alarming and linked to various factors. During the pandemic, a significant rise in heart attack deaths among younger adults, especially those between 25 to 44 years old, has been observed, with a nearly 30% increase in heart attack deaths over the first two years.

Moreover, lifestyle changes and pre-existing conditions play a significant role in the rising heart attack rates among the young. Factors like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, and smoking are major contributors. These conditions lead to increased inflammation and atherosclerosis (plaque buildup in arteries), which can worsen over time and increase the risk of heart attacks.

The New Atlantis

During Monday’s intense press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre faced heated scrutiny from leading journalists over repeated visits by a renowned Parkinson’s disease specialist to the White House. Amidst escalating pressure and questions that dug deep into the reasons behind these visits, Jean-Pierre staunchly refused to disclose any detailed reasons or confirm who was consulted by the specialist, claiming that Joe Biden does not have Parkinson’s disease and is not under any related medication.

The press briefing saw Jean-Pierre repeatedly dodging questions from seasoned reporters such as CBS’s Ed O’Keefe, NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell, and the Associated Press’s Zeke Miller. The journalists pressed for clarity and transparency regarding the frequent visits documented in the White House logs from July 2023 through March of this year. Despite their efforts, Jean-Pierre maintained a tight-lipped stance, leading to an atmosphere charged with dissatisfaction among the press corps.

The White House Press Secretary claimed that the president’s routine physical examinations include consultations with various specialists, including neurologists, which are standard protocol. However, her repeated refusal to confirm the names of the specialists or provide specifics about the visits only fueled more speculation and distrust among the reporters present.

Jean-Pierre cited “security reasons” and the need to maintain privacy as the primary reasons for withholding specific details, a move that did little to quell the rising concerns and questions from the media. “I am telling you right now that I am not sharing confirming names from here,” Jean-Pierre said. “It is a security reason. It doesn’t matter how hard you push me. It doesn’t matter how angry you get with me. I’m not going to confirm a name.”

WATCH:

The scenario at the briefing room was also marked by a moment after where Jean-Pierre, visibly overwhelmed by the aggressive questioning, seemed to be on the verge of tears, RNC Research noted on X. “To say that I’m holding information or allude to anything else is not unfair,” she said. “It’s really, really unfair. I think people who are watching and have been watching this briefing for this past week could say that we are doing our best in this briefing to provide the information that we have.”

“I will admit, I will be the first one to admit, sometimes I get it wrong.” She finished, “but I do take offense to what was just happening at the beginning of this briefing. But I do take offense to what was just happening at the beginning of this briefing. It’s not okay.”

WATCH:

According to a report by The New York Times, Dr. Kevin Cannard, a Parkinson’s disease specialist from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center made eight trips to the White House over the last eight months. From last summer through this spring, the visits included at least one meeting with Biden’s physician, as shown by official visitor logs.

When asked about the visit, White House spokesperson Andrew Bates stated, “A wide variety of specialists from the Walter Reed system visit the White House complex to treat the thousands of military personnel who work on the grounds.”

It remains uncertain if the purpose of Dr. Cannard’s visits to the White House was to consult about the president specifically or for other unrelated reasons. Speculation about Biden’s health, particularly concerns about Parkinson’s disease, has increased following his challenging debate performance against former President Donald Trump in late June.

JUST IN: Trump RNC Releases Official 2024 Platform, Details For Convention

The New Atlantis

With just a week until the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee where former President Donald Trump is expected to be renominated as the Republican presidential candidate, the GOP has officially adopted a new platform that reinforces Trump’s deep influence on the party.

Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) Platform Committee announced the approval of the 2024 Republican Party Platform, a robust agenda that starkly contrasts with the “record of weakness, failure, and dishonesty” of the current administration under Joe Biden. The platform outlined Trump’s blueprint for his potential second term, with a return to his “America First” policies.

The platform accuses past politicians of selling out American interests through unfavorable trade deals and neglecting national security, contributing to a broad range of domestic issues. Trump’s 2024 platform is reminiscent of his 2016 campaign promises, focusing heavily on economic growth, job creation, and a revival of American manufacturing. Trump also blamed the Biden administration for a host of woes including “raging inflation, open borders, rampant crime,” and a decline in global stability.

Key promises in the 2024 GOP Platform included:

  • Sealing the border and halting the “migrant invasion.”
  • Carrying out the largest deportation operation in U.S. history.
  • Ending inflation and enhancing affordability for Americans.
  • Reclaiming the title as the top global energy producer.
  • Transforming the U.S. into a manufacturing superpower, curtailing outsourcing.
  • Implementing significant tax cuts for workers and eliminating taxes on tips.
  • Defending constitutional rights including freedom of speech, religion, and gun ownership.
  • Aiming to prevent global conflicts and promising to build a comprehensive missile defense system.
  • Overhauling federal educational funding to exclude schools that promote what the GOP considers radical ideologies.
  • Ensuring election security through measures like voter ID laws and same-day voting.

Trump Campaign Senior Advisors Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles said, “President Trump’s 2024 Republican Party Platform articulates his vision to Make America Great Again in a way that is concise and digestible for every voter.”

“While Joe Biden and Democrats argue about who will be at the top of their ticket and have implemented policies that have raised prices on everyday families, opened the floodgates to migrant crime via wide-open borders, shackled American energy with red tape forced by Washington bureaucrats, and sewn chaos across the world through weak foreign policy, President Trump will Make America Great Again through these America First principles,” they finished.

“Only President Trump can restore our economy, restore our Southern Border, and restore America’s standing in the world,” RNC Chairman Michael Whatley and RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump added. “His 2024 Republican Party Platform is a bold roadmap that will undo the devastating damage that Joe Biden’s far-left policies have done to this country, power President Trump to a historic victory in November, and Make America Great Again.”

The Trump campaign has also pinpointed Monday, July 15—the first day of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee—as the date to unveil his choice for vice president. They plan to announce this just before the formal nomination process, taking advantage of the day’s events and the gathered party audience for maximum impact.

NEW: Top Trump VP Candidate’s Odds Surge By 300%

NEW: Top Trump VP Candidate’s Odds Surge By 300%

The New Atlantis

Amidst swirling rumors, all eyes are fixed on former President Donald Trump as he prepares to unveil his running mate for the next presidential race.

The speculation around the 2024 presidential favorite has been intensifying as longtime allies and senior advisers claim to be in the dark, suggesting that the decision could still be under consideration. This air of mystery only adds to the anticipation surrounding the announcement.

JD Vance, the Ohio Senator known for his conservative stance and as the author of “Hillbilly Elegy,” has seen a sudden and dramatic rise in his odds of becoming Trump’s vice-presidential pick. His chances have skyrocketed by nearly 300%, positioning him as the frontrunner with a 31% probability of being selected, according to recent betting markets. This surge places Vance ahead of other potential candidates.

During an interview with NBC News on Sunday, Vance clarified that he has not been approached by Trump to join his campaign as the vice presidential candidate. Despite being considered a top contender for Trump’s vice presidential slot, Vance confirmed, “I have not gotten the call,” and promised to notify the press if he does receive such an invitation.

WATCH:

“We’ll let the media know if I ever get that call,” Vance added, “But most importantly, we’re just trying to work to elect Donald Trump. Whoever his vice president is, he’s got a lot of good people he could choose from.” He also defended Trump’s recent call for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate Joe Biden and his family, should Trump be elected for a second term.

Following the success of his book, Vance ventured into politics and became a member of the Republican Party. He was elected as a U.S. Senator from Ohio in the 2022 midterm elections, taking office in January 2023. His political stance aligns with conservative principles, focusing on issues such as economic policy, social values, and national security.

Vance is one of three Republican politicians featured on Trump’s shortlist for a running mate, alongside Governor Doug Burgum (R-ND) and Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL). Trump has cultivated speculation surrounding the selection of his running mate as the presidential frontrunner and has long hinted that the decision will be made at the Republican National Convention, though he did note that the candidate was in Atlanta for last week’s presidential debate.

Trump’s summer agenda has been eclipsed, however, by turmoil within the Democratic Party, highlighted by Biden’s poor performance in the debate and the resulting questions about the party’s presumptive nominee. The situation has added new complexities for Trump and his team as they deliberate over the selection of a vice-presidential candidate. Amidst the overwhelming attention on Biden, setting a time to announce Trump’s running mate has proved challenging.

The Trump campaign has pinpointed Monday, July 15—the first day of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee—as the final date to unveil his choice for vice president. They plan to announce this just before the formal nomination process, taking advantage of the day’s events and the gathered party audience for maximum impact.

WATCH: Adam Schiff Goes Off The Rails In Bizarre Trump Rant, Claims He Has ‘Illness’

WATCH: Adam Schiff Goes Off The Rails In Bizarre Trump Rant, Claims He Has ‘Illness’

The New Atlantis

Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) launched into a critique of both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, suggesting that cognitive tests might reveal “serious illness” in Trump. The comments came during a Monday appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” where Schiff openly discussed the current state of political affairs and leadership concerns in Washington.

“Look, I’d be happy if both the president and Donald Trump took cognitive tests,” Schiff said, adding a provocative follow-up, “They both should be willing to take a test. I think frankly a test would show Donald Trump has a serious illness of one kind or another.”

“Ultimately, the decision is going to come down to what Joe Biden thinks is best. And if his decision is to run, then run hard and beat that SOB. And if his decision is to pass the torch, then the president should do everything in his power to make that other candidate successful,” Schiff said.

The rant was fueled by Schiff’s history of clashes with Trump, often centering on allegations that have been hotly contested by Republicans. Meanwhile, conservative voices continue to defend Trump’s cognitive aptitude, often citing his previous test results, contrasting sharply with Schiff’s recent allegations.

WATCH:

Biden, addressing his party via a letter, staunchly refused to bow out of the upcoming election on Monday despite mounting pressures following a widely criticized debate performance. In his letter, Biden urged Democrats to end the ongoing internal strife that has fragmented the party, reinforcing his intention to persevere in the political arena. The embattled president rebuffed calls to step aside, saying it is time for Democrats to “come together, move forward as a unified party, and defeat Donald Trump.”

“Now that you have returned from the July 4th recess, I want you to know that despite all the speculation in the press and elsewhere, I am firmly committed to staying in this race, to running this race to the end, and to beating Donald Trump,” Biden wrote. “I have had extensive conversations with the leadership of the party, elected officials, rank and file members, and most importantly, Democratic voters over these past 10 days or so. I have heard the concerns that people have – their good faith fears and worries about what is at stake in this election. I am not blind to them.”

Continuing on, President Biden confirmed he would not be dropping out of the race and cited strong electoral wins in state Democratic primaries as evidence that the party’s grassroots stands behind him as the nominee.

“I can respond to all this by saying clearly and unequivocally: I wouldn’t be running again if I did not absolutely believe I was the best person to beat Donald Trump in 2024. We had a Democratic nomination process and the voters have spoken clearly and decisively. I received over 14 million votes, 87% of the votes cast across the entire nominating process. I have nearly 3,900 delegates, making me the presumptive nominee of our party by a wide margin.”

“Do we now just say this process didn’t matter? That the voters don’t have a say?”

Biden followed up that letter with a Monday morning appearance on MSNBC where he warned Democrats against trying to force his hand. “The bottom line here is that we’re not going anywhere — I am not going anywhere,” he said. “I had a bad night,” he said of his debate. “But the fact of the matter is — if there was something that was wrong that night, it’s not like it’s one night and it goes away. That’s why I’ve been out, I’ve been testing myself.”

“Run against me. Announce for president. Challenge me at the convention,” Biden added. The question of how to move forward has been well-aired for over a week now. And it’s time for it to end. We have one job. And that is to beat Donald Trump. We have 42 days to the Democratic Convention and 119 days to the general election. Any weakening of resolve or lack of clarity about the task ahead only helps Trump and hurts us.”

On Sunday the New York Times reported that ranking House Democrats, convened by Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), met privately to air grievances about President Biden’s refusal to step aside.

Joy Reid Has Complete Meltdown, Says She Will Vote For Biden if he is in a Coma

Joy Reid Has Complete Meltdown, Says She Will Vote For Biden if he is in a Coma

The New Atlantis

MSNBC host Joy Reid lashed out in a tirade saying she would vote for Joe Biden even “if he’s in a coma,” as long as it prevents Trump, who she called “Hitler,” from returning to the White House. Reid’s comments come during growing concerns over Biden’s fitness for office following his lackluster debate performance.

“Let me know when you guys are finished fighting amongst yourselves who I gotta vote for in November to keep Hitler out the White House. That’s all I wanna know,” she ranted. Her remarks were a clear jab at internal Democratic disagreements and the political battle against Republicans, whom she accused of aligning with dangerous ideologies.

“Play in traffic all you want in front of these Republicans, acting a fool in front of these people instead of privately declaring your stuff. But don’t text me no more, because I’m not taking no more of these texts. Just let me know when you guys are finished figuring it out Democrats, because I know y’all the freak out people.”

Reid’s disillusionment with her party’s leadership was palpable as she continued. “Oh, and by the way, if it’s Biden in a coma, I’m gonna vote for Biden in a coma. I don’t even really particularly like the guy. A lot of his policies, don’t like him. He’s not Donald Trump, right? Yeah, Hitler, White House, we keeping them out, keeping Project 2025 out. That’s all I care about.”

WATCH:

Earlier this week, Reid went on another rant at the Supreme Court’s decision to grant former President Trump immunity. “Donald John Trump cannot be allowed back into the White House. Because if you combine that madman with this court, two of whose members are insurrectionists, one of whom flew an upside down flag at his home,” she said after the July 1 ruling.

On Friday during a campaign event in Madison, Wisconsin, Biden confirmed he will remain in the presidential race. Addressing supporters, the 81-year-old President acknowledged his performance in last week’s CNN debate, which has intensified calls for him to withdraw due to concerns about his age and mental agility.

In a taped interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, Biden described his condition as being “sick” and “feeling terrible.” When questioned about the severity of his symptoms and whether they indicated a more serious health issue, he claimed, “It was a bad episode. No indication of any serious condition. I didn’t listen to my instincts in terms of preparing, and I had a bad night.”

“I was feeling terrible. As a matter of fact, the docs with me I asked if they did a Covid test, they were trying to figure out what’s wrong. They did a test to see whether or not I had some infection, you know, a virus. I didn’t. I just had a really bad cold.” Biden’s campaign has been gearing up for a recovery effort. Both First Lady Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are set to embark on a comprehensive campaign tour across all key battleground states this month.

Biden Makes Another Embarrassing Gaffe, Says “I’ll Beat Trump In 2020”

The New Atlantis

Over a week after the latest presidential debate, Joe Biden’s dismal performance continues to echo in political circles as well as the media. His on-stage struggles with response times and coherence have reignited concerns over his cognitive capabilities, concerns that could have significant implications for his political future and for the Democratic Party as a whole.

On Friday, Biden confidently declared, “Guess what, they’re trying to push me out of the race. No! I’ll beat Donald Trump. I’ll beat Donald Trump. I will beat him again in 2020!” The only issue is it’s not 2020… it’s 2024.

WATCH:

One sign caught on camera during Friday’s rally even read “Pass the Torch Joe,” symbolizing the sentiment of those within and outside the Democratic Party who believe it is time for new leadership. This growing sentiment poses a delicate challenge for the party as it balances support for its current leader with strategic considerations for future elections.

Talk has surged in top Democratic circles about the need for a shift in the party’s presidential ticket. Speculation suggests a growing number of Democrats are considering Vice President Kamala Harris as the possible candidate, while contemplating who might best complement her as a running mate.

Despite Harris’s attempts to steer clear, the dynamics within Democratic politics are shifting around her—similarly, former President Donald Trump’s campaign has already initiated targeted attacks against Harris.

Yellowstone Star Kevin Costner Goes Viral For Huge Pro-America Message

The New Atlantis

Kevin Costner has embraced every chance to honor America, a sentiment he shared during a recent interview. The renowned ‘Yellowstone’ actor took the opportunity to express what the Fourth of July means to him and why it holds a significant place in his heart.

“It is an opportunity to look back at the journey of America, and before America was America,” Kostner said to Fox News. “There is something to protect here. There is something to celebrate.” In his view, Costner believes that Americans will not be able to “protect anything by putting our ego first,” and said that everyone should make it a priority to do “what is good for the nation.”

“That is a public service. [It] should be about the public, to begin with. Not about someone’s next four years. It can’t be,” he said, alluding to the White House. “It has to be first and foremost about what’s broken here, and there’s always gonna be something to be done. How we fit in the world? What is our place?”

Costner continued, highlighting the maturity needed to prioritize national interest over personal gain. He said, “it requires a very evolved personality” to put one’s ego aside and commit to what is best for the country. Reflecting on leadership, he added that perhaps what the country needs is “a woman” at its helm.

WATCH:

In June, Costner revealed that he will not be returning to the popular series ‘Yellowstone.’ While expressing his affection for the show, he acknowledged in an Instagram post that he is unable to continue. Costner, who also directed and starred in “Horizon,” shared his decision with fans.

“I just want to reach out and let you know that after this long year and a half of working on ‘Horizon’ and doing all the things that’s required and thinking about Yellowstone, that beloved series that I love — that I know you love,” Costner shared. “I just realized that I’m not going to be able to continue Season 5b or into the future. It was something that really changed me. I loved it, and I know you loved it. I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be returning. I love the relationship we’ve been able to develop, and I’ll see you at the movies.”

It’s been over a year and a half since ‘Yellowstone’ last graced the screens, a surprising hiatus for such a popular series. The show’s intrigue hasn’t just been on-screen; off-screen, tensions mirrored the intense drama of the Dutton family saga. Central to the turmoil was the departure of Costner amid a flurry of disputes. Reports suggested Costner wanted reduced filming days, but series creator Taylor Sheridan wasn’t on board, resulting in Costner’s exit according to Variety.

Meanwhile, Costner moved on to a ‘Horizon,’ a four-part Western film series that he co-wrote, directed, and even partially funded himself. Despite a lukewarm reception at Cannes, the first installment of “Horizon” has premiered nationwide.
