JUST IN: Catherine Herridge Reveals Case That Could Expose Biden Family’s Overseas Bribery

The New Atlantis

Tucker Carlson recently interviewed ousted CBS correspondent Catherine Herridge, his former colleague at Fox News, to dissect current media dynamics, focusing heavily on President Joe Biden’s recent performances and the general state of journalism. The discussion quickly turned to the controversial subject of Biden’s cognitive abilities, which have been a topic of intense debate following his latest public appearances.

Herridge also delved into Hunter Biden’s legal troubles, which she believes could have serious implications for the Biden family. “I would think about the Hunter Biden case as having two buckets. The first was the gun charges, and then the second is this tax case. I’ve always felt the tax case is a much more serious case and has the greatest legal jeopardy for himself and members of his family.”

“There’s a whole window with the taxes where he’s really a heavy user and drug addict. But as he told the Delaware court last year when the plea deal fell apart, there was a period of time where he became clean. So how many of these alleged bad acts happened during that period versus when he was an addict?”

Herridge has been recognized for her detailed reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop scandal. She is also an award-winning journalist who departed CBS News in February amid layoffs by its corporate parent Paramount.

WATCH:

As the interview progressed, Carlson pointed out the inconsistency in media coverage when comparing Biden to other political figures, suggesting a significant bias in how media scrutinize public officials. He shared an anecdote to illustrate his point: “His sister told a friend of mine, actually, ‘We’re very upset because he’s in cognitive decline.’”

“He’s got some neurological illness, and we don’t want him to run for president. So I immediately said that on Fox News,” Carlson said. “That was five years ago. I wasn’t shocked by his performance in the debate.”

Herridge, who was facing contempt of court charges for refusing to disclose her sources in stories involving a scientist under FBI scrutiny, transitioned to CBS News from Fox News in 2019. Unfortunately, she was part of a group of 20 employees laid off by CBS in February.

“One of our sons asked me, ‘Mom, are you going to go to jail?’” she recalled. “And I wanted to tell him that in this country where we say we value democracy and we value a vigorous press, that it was impossible. But I couldn’t offer him that assurance.”

WATCH THE FULL INTERVIEW:

“I was shocked that they fired you,” Carlson said. “And when I reflected for a moment, I was not shocked at all. From my perspective, super obvious they’re taking him out before the election because you’re reporting on Biden’s laptop.”

“I think this is a real opportunity to gather more data and to take an investigative lens and look at this issue of President Biden and his decision to seek re-election,” Herridge said. “We’ve got some data points already…I think it makes sense because we’d have broader data points to assess was this a one-off as the White House says or were there indications of decline earlier on?”

Joy Reid Goes Completely Off The Rails In Bizarre Rant About Trump: ‘Nothing Else Matters!’

Joy Reid Goes Completely Off The Rails In Bizarre Rant About Trump: ‘Nothing Else Matters!’

The New Atlantis

MSNBC host Joy Reid delivered a series of controversial comments about the upcoming election that left viewers bewildered. Reid’s off-the-rails rant, which could generously be described as “passionate,” centered entirely on one urgent plea: stop Donald Trump at all costs.

“Let’s not be trying to play games with these kinds of small things to try to pull us into a direction,” Reid began in a grainy video, “All that matters in this election, and I genuinely mean this, all that matters in this election, the only thing that matters in this election, is keeping Donald Trump and Project 2025 out of power. That’s all that matters.”

Reid’s disregard for the party’s nominee in the crusade against Trump was made clear. “I genuinely don’t care who the Democratic nominee is. And I’m being real. I don’t care. If it’s Biden, fine. If it’s Kamala Harris, fabulous,” Reid claimed. Her voice escalated to near-apocalyptic tones, painting a picture of a future dominated by what she described as “white Christian nationalism.”

“Anything with the R on it is gonna take your birth control…they’re gonna make you register and take the military preparatory test in high school, so that you’re ready to be cannon fodder for them,” she claimed. Her warnings did not stop there, as she even claimed that Republicans would “take away your books, your history, they’re gonna take away your right to even know the history of this country.”

WATCH:

Last week Reid lashed out in another tirade saying she would vote for Biden even “if he’s in a coma,” as long as it prevents Trump, who she called “Hitler,” from returning to the White House.

Reid’s comments have come amid growing concerns over Biden’s fitness for office following his lackluster debate performance. More and more Democrat politicians and donors have called for Biden to step down since June 27.

BREAKING: Biden Campaign ‘Quietly’ Tests Kamala Harris Against Trump

BREAKING: Biden Campaign ‘Quietly’ Tests Kamala Harris Against Trump

The New Atlantis

President Joe Biden’s campaign is currently conducting a survey comparing Vice President Kamala Harris directly against former President Donald Trump, the GOP frontrunner. The poll emerges amidst internal doubts within the Democratic Party and signals what could be the shift for their 2024 strategy.

According to The New York Times, sources privy to the campaign’s analytics, who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the information, revealed that this is perhaps the first assessment since the presidential debate to gauge Harris’ viability as the Democratic frontrunner. The specifics of the survey’s intentions remain undisclosed, however.

The survey hints at the campaign’s behind-the-scenes efforts to test alternative strategies as Biden continues to navigate through a turbulent political landscape. Reports indicate a significant shift within Biden’s close circle of advisers and aides, as many believe the President might need to reconsider his 2024 campaign plans. According to a New York Times report on Thursday, there is an increasing belief among these insiders that Biden should step aside, and discussions are underway on how to broach this delicate subject with him.

A faction of prominent lawmakers has started to vocalize their opinions that Biden should either withdraw from the race or reevaluate his intentions to run again. Contrasting views within his team suggest that while some top aides doubt Harris’ potential to win, other supporters and donors see her as a more dynamic and compelling figure post-debate, capable of more effectively communicating the Democratic Party’s ideals.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has subtly indicated to donors his openness to supporting a Democratic presidential ticket without Biden at the helm, as reported by Axios. While publicly Schumer maintains his support, stating he is “for Joe,” private conversations suggest he is considering other possibilities. Schumer has engaged with donors to discuss potential strategic directions for the Democratic Party, a move informed by insights from three individuals close to these discussions.

Prominent Democratic fundraiser George Clooney also suggested that Biden should withdraw his candidacy following a debate performance that was widely seen as underwhelming—partly attributed by the campaign to Biden suffering from a cold.

In a memo addressed to their campaign staff, Jennifer O’Malley Dillon and Julie Chavez Rodriguez, chair and manager of Biden’s campaign, delineated their strategic vision moving forward. The memo, sent on Thursday, emphasized the stability of Biden’s position despite alternative narratives.

“In addition to what we believe is a clear pathway ahead for us, there is also no indication that anyone else would outperform the president vs. Trump,” the leaders stated. “Hypothetical polling of alternative nominees will always be unreliable, and surveys do not take into account the negative media environment that any Democratic nominee will encounter. The only Democratic candidate for whom this is already baked in is President Biden.”

The communication from campaign leadership acknowledged some shifting dynamics in voter support, though they downplayed its significance. “The movement we have seen, while real, is not a sea-change in the state of the race,” the memo clarified.

Biden’s political destiny, however, may hinge significantly on his upcoming performance at a news conference scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday during the NATO summit in Washington.

Psaki Gets SCORCHED After Hilariously Saying Kamala Is An ‘Undervalued’ Talent

The New Atlantis

Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki praised Vice President Kamala Harris, describing her as an “undervalued talent” and a “fierce communicator,” especially on hot-button issues like abortion rights. However, Psaki’s comments have caused a storm of criticism from those who saw her remarks as out of touch with the reality of Harris’s performance and public perception.

“Kamala Harris, the vice president, I’m going to call her president now… in my view, an undervalued talent,” Psaki said. “She’s a very fierce communicator. She’s very strong, especially on one of the core issues that made the election maybe won or lost on, which is abortion rights.”

The high praise comes despite widespread concerns about Harris’s effectiveness and visibility on major policy issues. “This is why I think when she did a couple of interviews after the debate, I was sitting on the set with a bunch of other MSNBC anchors and we were like, everyone’s like, that was great. It’s like, yeah, that’s what she’s doing out in the country and nobody is really tracking it. It’s just, that’s who she is.”

“We live in a country that is sexist and racist. So like, there is that. There is a level of it that does impact elections,” Psaki claimed.

WATCH:

Harris, however, has struggled to articulate clear stances on critical issues and the administration’s intentions.  Amidst these discussions, the strategic challenges facing the Democratic Party cannot be ignored. With President Joe Biden’s potential departure from the 2024 presidential race still uncertain, Harris’s role and public image become even more critical. The Democratic Party now faces a delicate balancing act: bolstering the unpopular Harris while also navigating the electoral pitfalls of a struggling party.

Some of Biden’s aides have privately expressed their doubts about Vice President Harris’s electability, according to The New York Times. The undertone of these discussions suggested a lack of confidence in Harris performing any better than Biden.

First Democrat Senator Calls On Biden To Resign thumbnail

First Democrat Senator Calls On Biden To Resign

The New Atlantis

On Wednesday, Senator Peter Welch of Vermont, a Democrat, publicly urged Joe Biden to step out of the presidential race, marking the first significant departure within his party.

Welch’s call reflects the growing concerns among Democrats that Biden’s approach might jeopardize not only their hold on the White House but also their chances to regain the House and maintain control of the Senate.

Despite the White House’s efforts to quell dissent during emotional meetings with Senate and House Democrats on Tuesday, some of Biden’s supporters still voiced doubts about his campaign strategy and leadership capabilities.

Welch wrote in an op-ed piece in The Washington Post that: “We cannot unsee President Biden’s disastrous debate performance. We cannot ignore or dismiss the valid questions raised since that night.”

“For the good of the country, I’m calling on President Biden to withdraw from the race.”

He continued, “I deliver this assessment with sadness. Vermont loves Joe Biden. President Biden and Vice President Harris received a larger vote percentage here than in any other state. But regular Vermonters are worried that he can’t win this time, and they’re terrified of another Trump presidency.”

Welch was elected to the Senate in November 2022 to fill the seat of the retiring Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT). Known for his progressive views, Welch has been involved in various initiatives concerning health care, environmental issues, and the economy.

“The latest data makes it clear that the political peril to Democrats is escalating,” Welch wrote. “States that were once strongholds are now leaning Republican. These new shifts — in Minnesota, New Hampshire, Nevada, Arizona and Georgia — must be taken seriously, not denied or ignored.”

“The good news is that President Biden has united the party and created a deep bench that can defeat Trump. Vice President Harris is a capable, proven leader, and we have other electable, young, energizing Democratic governors and senators in swing states. Not only do these leaders have experience running and winning in tough political environments, they also have fundraising networks, media experience, charisma, and the ability to inspire voters across generations and across our big tent.”

Welch finished, “We have asked President Biden to do so much for so many for so long. It has required unmatched selflessness and courage. We need him to put us first, as he has done before. I urge him to do it now.”

Yesterday, Democratic leaders gathered in a confidential meeting on Capitol Hill, facing a critical juncture for Biden and the Democratic Party amid escalating concerns over his health. The meeting, held at the Democratic Party headquarters with strict instructions for no cellphones, was framed as a mere “family” discussion by party leaders. Inside, the tone was reportedly “dour” as members weighed the political ramifications of either standing by Biden or suggesting he consider stepping down.

Despite the internal debates, Biden has made it clear he has no plans to resign, emphasizing this in a forceful letter that the party should concentrate on countering former President Trump.

John Hunt, a BBC horse racing radio commentator, tragically lost his wife and two adult daughters in an attack north of London on Tuesday night. The assailant, reportedly wielding a crossbow, was identified as Kyle Clifford, the ex-boyfriend of one of Hunt’s deceased daughters.

Following the attack, Clifford fled the scene, prompting a citywide manhunt led by local police forces. Jon Simpson, the local policing commander for Hertfordshire Constabulary, announced that the search extended into Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday, Clifford, the 26-year-old suspect, was apprehended by armed officers in Enfield, north London. According to police reports and BBC News, Clifford was found injured but no shots were fired by the police during his capture. He is currently receiving medical treatment.

WATCH:

The tragic incident involved a crossbow attack in Bushey, near Watford, which resulted in the deaths of three women. The victims, identified as Carol Hunt, 61, Hannah Hunt, 28, and Louise Hunt, 25, were the wife and daughters of John Hunt, a BBC Racing radio commentator. They were found seriously injured at their home on Ashlyn Close around 7:00p.m. on Tuesday and sadly died at the scene.

WATCH:

Clifford, had a short stint in the Armed Forces prior to the “targeted” incident last night. He served as a trooper, a rank comparable to a private, in the Queen’s Dragoon Guards. A photograph capturing him in his military attire, complete with camouflage face paint and holding a gun, has been circulated. A previous employer from the early part of his career mentioned that Clifford left the forces shortly after completing his initial training.

“Clifford joined the Army in 2019 and I was with him in Basic Training,” he told The Sun. “When he joined the Army he was immature for his age and had a bit of a chip on his shoulder. He struggled to grasp basic military concepts but managed to reach the standard to pass out from training. I hear he was [later] working in private security so would indicate that he is no longer in the military.”

As two police helicopters hovered overhead and two uniformed officers stood guard at a local terraced house, the neighborhood was on high alert. One local mother shared her unsettling encounter upon returning from school drop-off to discover armed police at the house opposite hers.

“They had cordoned off the road and were ushering people away from the house they were going into,” she told The DailyMail. “They had the full protective gear on, guns, shields, and helmets – the kind you’d expect to see in riots.”

“They let me through to get home and they remained there for about an hour before they left. Then there was just the ordinary police there,” she added. “I don’t know the family at all. I know the father passed away some time ago but that’s about it.”

NEW: Shocking Report Reveals Young Americans Are Flocking To The GOP thumbnail

NEW: Shocking Report Reveals Young Americans Are Flocking To The GOP

The New Atlantis

A recent report from the Pew Research Center unveiled a major shift in the political landscape of the United States, with young Americans increasingly aligning with the Republican Party. The comprehensive analysis, spanning from 1994 to 2023, explored the evolving partisan coalitions and demographic changes shaping the nation’s political affiliations.

For decades, party identification among U.S. voters has been influenced by a variety of factors, including gender, race, ethnicity, and religious affiliation. While these traditional dividing lines remain influential, the latest Pew Research Center report showed a new and surprising trend: a growing number of young voters are gravitating towards the GOP.

The Pew report showed that the share of young voters (ages 18 to 24) who identify with or lean towards the Republican Party has seen a notable increase. The shift is a departure from previous trends, where younger generations were more inclined to support the Democratic Party. In the past, younger voters have been a reliable base for Democrats, often driven by progressive stances on social issues and a desire for change. However, new data suggests that this demographic is undergoing a transformation, potentially reshaping the future of American politics.

New York Times’ chief political analyst, Nate Cohn, wrote on X, “Perhaps the most important poll you’ve never heard of came out today: the Pew NPORS study, a large mail survey with financial incentives and a 30% response rate. It’s important enough that I had to open it when the email arrived.”

The report’s findings revealed several important trends. Firstly, while younger voters still lean Democratic overall, there has been a significant increase in the proportion of young Republicans. The shift is most pronounced among White young adults, who have shown a growing preference for the GOP.

Secondly, the report showed that young voters without a college degree are more likely to align with the Republican Party. Economic concerns, such as job opportunities and financial stability, appear to play a crucial role in this shift. In contrast, young college graduates remain more likely to support the Democratic Party.

Geographic factors also influence young voters’ political affiliations. Young adults in rural areas are increasingly identifying as Republicans, while their urban counterparts tend to support Democrats. Additionally, the growing racial and ethnic diversity among young voters has impacted both parties, although the Democratic Party still enjoys greater support among minority youth.

The gender gap in partisan identification remains significant. Young men are more likely to align with the GOP compared to young women, who predominantly support the Democratic Party. This divide is particularly evident among never-married individuals, with a larger proportion of never-married men identifying as Republicans.

As the November presidential election approaches, only 19% of Americans consider their democracy a strong model for other nations, per an April Pew Research Center survey. The prevailing sentiment, shared by 72% of respondents, is that while U.S. democracy once set a positive example, it has failed to do so recently. An additional 8% believe it never served as a good model. This viewpoint is more prevalent in the U.S. than abroad, where only 40% of adults from 34 different countries surveyed in 2024 agree with this perspective.

Chip And Joanna Gaines Open Up About Divorce Rumors: ‘They Have Changed’

The New Atlantis

The beloved stars of ‘Fixer Upper’, Chip and Joanna Gaines, are reportedly facing significant strains in their marriage as their rising fame and fortune create a widening gap between them.

According to an insider who spoke exclusively with Closer, the couple’s relationship has fundamentally altered under the pressures of celebrity. “Fame has changed both of them, and not for the better,” the insider revealed. “What was once a marriage is now mostly a business.”

At the heart of their marital discord are differing visions for their future projects. Chip, 49, and Joanna, 46, find themselves at odds over the direction of their renovation ventures.

“Joanna is pushing shows that focus on luxury renovation. Chip wants to focus on renovating modest homes. This business conflict has had a major impact on their marriage,” the source said. “They have changed — but nothing has changed as much as their marriage!”

“One thing that I would say is our superpower is that Jo and I are not quitters,” Chip told Hollywood Access in 2021. “Throwing in the towel is not something that, honestly, ever even comes to mind. And I would say that happened pretty early in our relationship, where we just thought, that’s interesting, that divorce or leaving one another is not really an option for us.”

“Divorce or leaving one another is not really an option for us. And so somehow that little foundation has definitely served us well because things have definitely been challenging, we’re not perfect and we have issues and trials and errors just like anybody… We’re in it forever,” Chip said at that time.

The duo has captured the hearts of audiences with their knack for transforming dilapidated properties into stunning homes. Chip, a graduate of Baylor University with a degree in Business, brought his construction expertise and lively personality to the table.

Joanna also attended Baylor University, where she studied Communications. She is of Korean, Lebanese, and German descent and has become renowned for her distinctive interior design style, which beautifully melds rustic and modern elements. The couple met in Waco, Texas, married in 2003, and soon began their joint venture in renovating and flipping homes, laying the groundwork for their future success on television.

‘Fixer Upper’ first premiered in May 2013 and quickly became a staple for the network, drawing in millions of viewers with its charming blend of personal and property transformations. The process showed Chip’s construction and realty expertise and Joanna’s design skills. Typically, an episode begins with the Gaines showing one or more fixer-uppers to their clients and, once a home is chosen, Joanna designs while Chip leads construction. The show not only transformed homes but also helped revitalize neighborhoods and increase tourism in Waco, Texas, where it is filmed.

The show ran for five successful seasons before concluding in April 2018. Despite the end of the series, the Gaines continued to expand their brand. They launched the Magnolia Network, which replaced the DIY Network, featuring shows that align with their family-friendly and home improvement ethos. Additionally, they have multiple businesses under the Magnolia brand, including a real estate company, retail shops, and a restaurant.

JUST IN: Rachel Maddow’s Huge Blunder Could Cost MSNBC A Whopping $30M

The New Atlantis

Rachel Maddow, one of MSNBC’s most prominent anchors, alongside her colleagues Nicolle Wallace and Chris Hayes, is at the center of a legal storm that could cost NBCUniversal a staggering $30 million. A federal judge has ruled that these top anchors made “verifiably false” statements about a Georgia doctor, Dr. Mahendra Amin, whom they dubbed the “Uterus Collector.”

The lawsuit, now headed for trial, revolves around accusations aired on MSNBC about Dr. Amin’s alleged involvement in performing unnecessary hysterectomies on women detained at a Trump-era immigration facility. The case stems from a whistleblower complaint that emerged in 2020, during the height of the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement efforts.

The complaint, brought forward by nurse Dawn Wooten, alleged that numerous female detainees at the Irwin County Detention Center in Georgia underwent hysterectomies without proper medical justification or informed consent. These allegations quickly gained traction, leading to widespread media coverage and political condemnation.

MSNBC, through its high-profile shows hosted by Maddow, Wallace, and Hayes, amplified these allegations, drawing significant public attention. The broadcasts described Dr. Amin as a doctor who routinely performed unnecessary hysterectomies on detained immigrant women, likening the situation to human rights abuses reminiscent of Nazi Germany or the Jim Crow South. Chris Hayes notably commented on the virality of the story, suggesting it evoked memories of historical atrocities.

Dr. Amin vehemently denied the allegations and filed a $30 million defamation lawsuit against NBCUniversal, accusing the network of damaging his reputation and professional standing. The lawsuit contends that the statements made by Maddow, Wallace, and Hayes were not only false but were broadcast with a reckless disregard for the truth.

In a significant development, U.S. District Judge Lisa Godbey Wood ruled against NBCUniversal’s motion for summary judgment, allowing the case to proceed to trial. The judge highlighted that there were genuine disputes of material fact regarding whether NBC acted with actual malice, a crucial element in defamation cases involving public figures.

“Multiple statements are verifiably false. The undisputed evidence has established that: (1) there were no mass hysterectomies or high numbers of hysterectomies at the facility,” the court document stated.

The court documents reveal that several key decision makers at NBC, including Chris Scholl, expressed their doubts about the veracity of the whistleblower’s claims. Scholl, who approved the initial articles and broadcasts, pointed out the lack of evidence and described the accusations as unverified. Scholl’s internal communications indicated skepticism, stating, “We don’t know the truth.” Similarly, Maddow and Hayes also expressed their doubts during internal discussions, questioning the credibility of the accusations.

Despite the internal concerns, the network proceeded to air the statements, leading to the defamation lawsuit. The judge noted that a jury could potentially find that NBC acted with actual malice, given the expressed doubts and the failure to verify the claims before broadcasting them.

NBCUniversal argued that its reporting was based on a thorough investigation and corroborating information from other reputable news organizations. The network also included statements from Dr. Amin, ICE, and LaSalle Corrections that contradicted the whistleblower’s allegations, attempting to provide a balanced perspective.

However, the court found that these defenses were insufficient to warrant summary judgment. The judge emphasized that determining actual malice and the truthfulness of the statements should be left to a jury, given the conflicting evidence presented.

The trial will scrutinize the journalistic practices of one of the nation’s leading news networks. If found liable, NBCUniversal could face substantial financial penalties, and the reputations of its top anchors could suffer irreparable damage.

WATCH: Pelosi Loses It On Reporter For Asking About Biden’s Candidacy: ‘Am I Speaking English?’

The New Atlantis

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) tensely rebuked a reporter for probing questions about President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign Wednesday afternoon. This comes during a growing unease within the Democratic Party as the 2024 presidential election approaches, with many fearing that Biden’s candidacy might jeopardize their chances against former President Donald Trump.

Earlier today, ABC News reporter Rachel Scott pestered Pelosi about whether a delay in Biden’s decision was cause for concern. Visibly frustrated, Pelosi responded, “I’m not going to make any comments in the hallway about the fate of our nation.”

Scott continued to question Pelosi on whether she believed the Democrats could win the upcoming election. “Do you believe you should run for re-election?” she asked.

“Am I speaking English?” Pelosi jabbed. “I’m not going to be making any statements about any of that right now!”

WATCH:

“It’s up to the president to decide if he’s going to run,” Pelosi said to MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” earlier today. “We’re all encouraging him to make that decision, because time is running short.”

Several Democrats, from Hollywood celebrities to seasoned politicians, have voiced their apprehension about Biden’s ability to secure a victory in November. They fear that not only could he lose to Trump, but he might also drag down the Democratic Party’s chances of maintaining control over Congress. George Clooney published his thoughts in a New York Times op-ed under the blaring headline “I Love Joe Biden. But We Need a New Nominee.”

“Was he tired? Yes. A cold? Maybe. But our party leaders need to stop telling us that 51 million people didn’t see what we just saw,” Clooney wrote. “We’re all so terrified by the prospect of a second Trump term that we’ve opted to ignore every warning sign. The George Stephanopoulos interview only reinforced what we saw the week before. As Democrats, we collectively hold our breath or turn down the volume whenever we see the president, who we respect, walk off Air Force One or walk back to a mic to answer an unscripted question.”

Clooney’s about-face comes just weeks after he and other A-listers gathered for a fundraiser with Biden where they lavished his campaign with tens of millions of dollars. Even then, the signs were obvious: former President Barack Obama was seen guiding his former veep from the stage, holding on to his elbow, a repeat performance of their night together in New York just days earlier.

Whatever sway Clooney and the glitterati hold may have arrived too late: by Wednesday it appeared that the White House had limited the list of Democratic defections to just seven members of the U.S. House and U.S. Senator Mark Warner (D-VA). Senior Democrats went on the record to reiterate their belief in a Biden-led ticket, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and even progressive darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). And Democratic operatives are even floating the possibility of a “blitz primary” to replace Biden, an idea that Clooney seems supportive of in his piece.

With Biden at the helm, many in the party are grappling with the reality of his lagging popularity and the formidable challenge posed by Trump’s candidacy.
