LIVE Video: Trump, Israeli prime minister hold press conference
President Trump has high-stakes topics on his agenda Monday, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits the White House, just ahead of top congressional Democrats.
Trump and Netanyahu discussed a new 20-point proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza, which the White House detailed ahead of a press conference with the leaders.
With less than two days until government funding runs out, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) will meet with Trump at the White House after the Netanyahu meeting wraps.
Democrats are digging in their heels on the extension of Affordable Care Act tax credits that expire at the end of the year. Many in the party think they need to do something drastic to push back on the Trump administration and buck up their own demoralized voters.
The Senate is in session this week.
Follow along all day for updates.
