NFL Rookie Khyree Jackson Tragically Passes Away At 24

Minnesota Vikings rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson and two others were killed in a car crash on Saturday morning, the team announced in a statement.

The fatal accident took place in Prince George’s County, Maryland, according to a press release from the Maryland State Police. Jackson, who was the front passenger in a Dodge Charger, was pronounced dead at the scene following a three-car collision in Upper Marlboro. Isaiah Hazel, 23, and Anthony Lytton Jr., 24, were also killed in the crash.

All three of the deceased victims were traveling in the Dodge Charger, which was struck by a silver Infiniti on Route 4/Pennsylvania Avenue, police said. The preliminary investigation has found that the Infiniti, which was being driven by Cori Clingman, struck the Charger first.

It was then hit by a Chevrolet Impala after attempting to change lanes at a high rate of speed. At that point, the Charger veered off the road and struck a number of tree stumps before coming to a rest.

Hazel, who was driving the Dodger Charger, was also pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. Lytton Jr., who was seated in the back of the vehicle, was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead not long after.

“We are devastated by the news of Khyree Jackson’s death following an overnight car accident,” the Vikings said in a statement. “While we work to gather more information, we have spoken to Khyree’s family and offered the support of the Minnesota Vikings. We have also communicated the news to Vikings players, coaches and staff and have offered counseling for those who need emotional support. Our thoughts are with Khyree’s family, friends, teammates and coaches, as well as all the victims of this tragic accident.”

A promising defensive prospect, Jackson was selected in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings earlier this year. He spent two years at the University of Alabama before transferring to Oregon in 2023.

“The NFL family is deeply saddened and devastated by the passing of Vikings rookie Khyree Jackson.” the league said in a statement. “Our thoughts and condolences are with his family, loved ones and everybody involved in this tragic accident.”

‘The Sopranos’ Official X Account TORCHES Joe Biden

The New Atlantis

The official X page for the HBO classic “The Sopranos” set social media on fire Saturday by posting a meme making fun of President Biden.

The account quote tweeted a post from Biden’s official account that read, “Let me say this as clearly as I can: I’m the sitting president of the United States. I’m the nominee of the Democratic Party. I’m staying in the race.”

In response, the official X account for “The Sopranos” posted a screenshot of a scene featuring the iconic Tony Soprano with the quote, “If you gotta keep saying you’re the boss, you’re not the boss.”

The post is currently pinned to the top of the account’s feed.

The post immediately went viral on X, with many users commenting on the state of the Biden Campaign. “When the official Sopranos account ratios the President of the United States, you know you’re in the best timeline again,” said one user.

Others posted a quote from Tywin Lannister, the main power broker on the HBO hit “Game of Thrones,” that reads, “Any man who says I am the king is no true king.”

The latest headache for the Biden Campaign comes as the president attempts to fend off calls to resign from prominent Democrat lawmakers, donors and strategists.

In an interview with George Stephanopoulos, Biden rejected calls to take a cognitive test after a disastrous debate performance.

“Look, I have a cognitive test every single day. Every day I have that test. Everything I do. You know, not only am I campaigning, but I’m running the world. And that sounds like hyperbole. But we are the central nation in the world,” he said.

“Madeleine Albright was right. And every single day, for example, today, before I came out here, I’m on the phone with the Prime Minister of… I know I shouldn’t get into the detail, but… with Netanyahu. I’m on the phone with the new Prime Minister of England. I’m working on what we’re doing with regard to… in Europe with regard to expansion of NATO and whether it’s going to stick. I’m taking on Putin. I mean, every day, there’s no day I go through that I don’t have to make those decisions.”

“So that’s why I’m asking, to reassure them, would you be willing to have the independent medical evaluation?” Stephanopoulos followed up.

Biden again rejected the notion, stating that there is plenty of time left to turn things around. “I’ve already done it,” the president said of a potential cognitive test.

Judge Cannon Issues Ruling That Could Lead To Dismissal Of Trump Documents Case thumbnail

Judge Cannon Issues Ruling That Could Lead To Dismissal Of Trump Documents Case

The New Atlantis

Judge Aileen Cannon has granted former President Donald Trump’s motion to pause the Biden Department of Justice’s classified documents case against him in Florida after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of presidential immunity.

Veteran reporter Julie Kelly reported that Trump’s legal team filed the motion — which called for a pause in proceedings while the impact of the immunity decision is weighed — on Friday. “President Donald J. Trump respectfully submits this motion for (I) leave to file supplemental briefing regarding the implications of Trump v. United States for the pending Presidential-immunity motion, ECF No. 324; and (2) a partial stay of further proceedings-with the exception of the pending gag-order motion, ECF No. 592-until President Trump’s motions based on Presidential immunity and the Appointments and Appropriations Clauses are resolved,” reads the motion.

“A partial stay that pauses CIPA and other litigation is warranted based on the reasoning in Trump, and such a stay would be consistent with DOJ policies and practices that the Special Counsel’s Office claims to be bound by but is largely ignoring,” the motion continued. “Resolution of these threshold questions is necessary to minimize the adverse consequences to the institution of the Presidency arising from this unconstitutional investigation and prosecution. A partial stay is also appropriate to prevent further exploitation of judicial institutions and resources by Executive Branch personnel in connection with the shameful ongoing lawfare campaign.”

In an X post, Kelly reported that Cannon set a briefing schedule on immunity matter through this month. It is likely that she will schedule a hearing sometime in August.

Trump’s legal team also referenced the opinion from Justice Clarence Thomas, who argued that Smith’s appointment was unconstitutional.  “If this unprecedented prosecution is to proceed, it must be conducted by someone solely authorized to do so by the American people. The lower courts should thus answer these essential questions concerning the Special Counsel’s appointment before proceeding,” Thomas wrote.

Cannon is currently considering a separate motion to dismiss the case based on unlawful appointment of the special counsel. That motion was debated at a hearing last month.

Biden Gets Shut Down After Bragging About Crowd Sizes: ‘I Don’t Think You Wanna Play The Crowd Game’

President Biden suggested that he can draw massive crowds — even bigger than former President Trump’s rallies — during a highly anticipated interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Friday.

In the days following last Thursday’s disastrous presidential debate, the Biden Campaign has been scrambling to assure voters that their candidate is capable of winning in November. The president has been attempting to fend off growing calls from Democrat lawmakers, donors and strategists to exit the race, which has led to a number of rare campaign rallies from Biden, who generally speaks to small crowds of party insiders.

During one such rally in Wisconsin, a seemingly energized and defiant Biden spoke to a sizable group of supporters. “In Wisconsin yesterday I made it clear: I plan to win this state and win this election.”

Biden appeared to be more than pleased with Friday’s turnout during his interview with ABC. When asked how he plans to turn the campaign around, the president replied with, “you saw it today.”

“How many how many people you get draw crowds like I do? Can you find any more enthusiastic than today, huh?” Biden said.

“I don’t think you want to play the crowd game,” Stephanopoulos shot back. “Donald Trump can draw big crowds. There’s no question about that.”

“You can draw a big crowd, but what’s he say? Who’s he have? I’m the guy supposedly in trouble,” Biden responded.

Elsewhere in the interview, Biden rejected the notion that he should take a cognitive test and release the results to American voters.

Look, I have a cognitive test every single day.

So that’s why I’m asking, to reassure them, would you be willing to have the independent medical evaluation?” Stephanopoulos followed up.

Biden again rejected the notion, stating that there is plenty of time left to turn things around. “I’ve already done it,” the president said of a potential cognitive test.

Wisconsin Reinstates Ballot Drop-Boxes After Ruling From Democrat-Controlled Supreme Court

The New Atlantis

The Democrat-controlled Wisconsin Supreme a court ruled Friday that state officials can place drop boxes around their communities in this November’s elections, reversing a previous decision made by a Republican-controlled court. Election integrity advocates have long criticized the use of drop boxes due to lack of oversight.

The court previously limited the use of drop boxes in July 2022, ruling that they could only be placed in local election clerks’ offices. In addition, the court ruled that ballots could only be dropped off by the person who filled them out.

This represented a massive deviation from 2020, when ballot “mules” were allowed to drop off ballots from other people with no oversight. Such mules were observed dropping off large piles of ballots in multiple states in the weeks leading up to the 2020 election.

Conservatives controlled the court at the time of the previous ruling, though control shifted last year with the election of liberal justice Janet Protasiewicz. Sensing an opportunity, the left-wing voter mobilization group Priorities USA asked the court to revisit the decision this past February.

The justices announced in March they would review the ban on drop boxes but wouldn’t consider any other parts of the case. Conservatives on the court were critical of the decision, arguing that liberal justices were attempting to give Democrats an advantage this fall.

On Friday, the court ruled 4-3 that ballot drop boxes can be utilized in any location.

Justice Ann Walsh Bradley, one of the court’s four liberal justices, wrote in the court’s majority opinion that placing a ballot in a drop box is no different than delivering it to a local election clerk. “Our decision today does not force or require that any municipal clerks use drop boxes,” Bradley wrote. “It merely acknowledges what (state law) has always meant: that clerks may lawfully utilize secure drop boxes in an exercise of their statutorily-conferred discretion.”

All three conservative justices dissented to the ruling. Justice Rebecca Bradley argued that her liberal justices made a politically motivated ruling that defies precedent set by the previous case.

“The majority in this case overrules (the 2022 decision) not because it is legally erroneous, but because the majority finds it politically inconvenient,” Bradley wrote. “The majority’s activism marks another triumph of political power over legal principle in this court.”

Wisconsin — which is projected to be one of the most crucial swing states in the upcoming election — saw a massive increase in mail-in and absentee voting in 2020. More than 40 percent of votes cast were done so through mail or absentee voting, smashing previous records.

At least 500 drop boxes were set up in more than 430 communities for the election that year, including more than a dozen each in Madison and Milwaukee, the AP reported. Both cities are Democrat strongholds.

Trump Takes Aim At Biden, Jack Smith In Epic Fourth of July Post

The New Atlantis

Former President Donald Trump held nothing back in a scathing Fourth of July post in which he took aim at President Biden and radical left-wing efforts to fundamentally transform the United States.

“Happy Fourth of July to all, including to our highly incapable ‘President,’ who uses Prosecutors to go after his Political Opponent, who choked like a dog during the Debate but tried to pretend it was ‘International Travel’ (only 12 days rest!) and, when that gig was up, he blamed it on a ‘cold.’” Trump wrote.

“Therefore, why would anyone say he’s cognitively challenged?”

The former president then reiterated his belief that he will be facing Vice President Harris in the general election. In a candid golf course discussion on Wednesday, Trump stated President Biden is getting out of the race. “She’s so fu***ng bad,” Trump said of Harris

“Also, respects to our potentially new Democrat Challenger, Laffin’ Kamala Harris. She did poorly in the Democrat Nominating process, starting out at Number Two, and ending up defeated and dropping out, even before getting to Iowa, but that doesn’t mean she’s not a ‘highly talented’ politician,” the post continued. “Just ask her Mentor, the Great Willie Brown of San Francisco.”

Trump also addressed Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is overseeing the Biden Administration’s federal criminal cases against their lead political rival.

“Someone else that I have to compliment is a Deranged Biden Prosecutor named Jack Smith, who has become a Legend in his own mind for all of those cases he has lost,” Trump wrote. Smith has the distinction of having one of his cases unanimously overturned by the Supreme Court.

“The Corrupt Prosecutors are working hard for Crooked Joe, but it will never be enough — MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Country Music Star Reveals That American Flags Triggered His Former Bandmate thumbnail

Country Music Star Reveals That American Flags Triggered His Former Bandmate

The New Atlantis

Brian Kelley, a former member of the Country Music duo Florida Georgia Line, has hinted that politics and an American flag may have played a role in the group’s split.

Florida Georgia Line was known for blending traditional country sound with mainstream pop elements, something that made them popular among younger fans. They enjoyed widespread success in the 2010’s with chart toppers such as “Cruise” and “This Is How We Roll,” which led to tours with the likes of Jason Aldean.

The group split in 2020, however, and it has long been believed that politics played a major role. During the contentious election season, band co-member Tyler Hubbard unfollowed Kelley over political disagreements. Hubbard is a supporter of Joe Biden and performed at his inauguration, while Kelley appears to prefer former President Donald Trump.

“I unfollowed BK for a few days while we were in the middle of this election and everything going on. And, and I even called him and told him, I said, ‘Hey buddy, I love you. And I love you a lot more in real life than on your stories right now. That’s why I’m unfollowing you. Nothing personal. I still love you. You’re still my brother,’” Hubbard explained in 2020.

It now appears that an American flag may have angered Hubbard and led to friction between the duo. Kelley explained the bizarre story during a recent appearance on the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast.

“I think one of the things that triggered him was, you know, I had an American flag and another flag flying on a close friend’s post to about 12 people. In my driveway,” Kelley said.

The country star then slammed the COVID-19 lockdown efforts that were underway at the time. “I posted a couple things but I’m proud that I posted it. I said, ‘You know I’m not sure why we’re still locked down if there’s going to be, you know, big protests in the streets and big celebrations, but we can’t go do concerts?’ I don’t really understand that and I was backing the blue-collar hard workers,” Kelley explained.

“The people that don’t have a voice. People that need that kind of backup support. People like my dad. The way that I grew up. You know what I’m saying. People that were out of business. Out of work. In a tough spot losing everything that they’d work for.”

REPORT: Hunter Biden Has Been Attending White House Meetings After Disastrous Debate thumbnail

REPORT: Hunter Biden Has Been Attending White House Meetings After Disastrous Debate

The New Atlantis

President Biden’s troubled son Hunter — who was recently convicted of federal gun felonies and is set to go on trial for tax-related crimes later this year — has been attending White House meetings after his dad’s abysmal debate performance, according to a report from the New York Post.

The report comes as Biden’s family is urging him to resist calls from prominent Democrats to step down.

This past weekend, the family huddled for a meeting at Camp David in order to discuss the president’s political future. According to a report from the New York Times, members of Biden’s family were adamant that he should  stay in the race and work to turn things around. First Lady Jill Biden has been named as a major advocate for her husband’s campaign and has blamed his aides and top advisers for last Thursday’s debate performance.

Hunter Biden, 54, was also behind his father’s continued candidacy and was a major factor in the president’s decision to continue, the report noted. Now, the New York Post is reporting that Hunter Biden is enjoying an elevated role in White House affairs.

“Hunter doesn’t trust” his father’s senior aides, one source told the outlet. “I think Hunter wants to be there, and POTUS isn’t going to say no.”

NBC News further reported on Hunter Biden’s attendance at White House meetings, citing four sources. One of the people familiar with the situation told NBC that Hunter has emerged as a close adviser to his father in the days following the Camp David meeting. The source added that he has “popped into” a few meetings and phone calls the president has held with his advisers.

Another source reported that Hunter’s elevated role has sent shockwaves through the White House, with the mood among some staffers being described as, “What the hell is happening?”

White House spokesman Andrew Bates told the outlet that Hunter helped his father with preparation for Monday night’s brief speech on the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity decision. “Hunter came back with the President from their family weekend at Camp David and went with the President straight into speech prep,” Bates said.

The first son is expected to remain at the White House this week in order to celebrate the July 4 holiday with his family.

Democrat Congressman Predicts Trump Victory, Rejects His Party’s Extreme Rhetoric thumbnail

Democrat Congressman Predicts Trump Victory, Rejects His Party’s Extreme Rhetoric

The New Atlantis

U.S. Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME) predicted that former President Donald Trump will win re-election in November. He also pushed back on his party’s rhetoric surrounding the supposed “threat to democracy” posed by Trump and “MAGA Republicans” in a scathing op-ed.

In an op-ed published Tuesday in the Bangor Daily News, Golden broke with his party and argued that Biden’s horrific performance in last week’s debate should not have been a surprise.

“After the first presidential debate, lots of Democrats are panicking about whether President Joe Biden should step down as the party’s nominee. Biden’s poor performance in the debate was not a surprise. It also didn’t rattle me as it has others, because the outcome of this election has been clear to me for months,” Golden wrote.

“While I don’t plan to vote for him, Donald Trump is going to win. And I’m OK with that.”

Golden — who represents an R+6 district according to the Cook Partisan Voting Index — went on to criticize his party’s rhetoric surrounding Trump’s candidacy. Mainstream Democrat thought leaders, pundits and elected officials, including President Biden, have long portrayed Trump as a “threat to Democracy” who could end the United States as we know it.

Biden has frequently compared his political rival to Adolf Hitler and used out of context clips to claim he wants to become a “dictator.”

“Democrats’ post-debate hand-wringing is based on the idea that a Trump victory is not just a political loss, but a unique threat to our democracy. I reject the premise,” Golden wrote. “Unlike Biden and many others, I refuse to participate in a campaign to scare voters with the idea that Trump will end our democratic system.”

The House Democrat went on to paint a more optimistic view of America with Independence Day fast approaching. “In that time, American democracy has withstood civil war, world wars, acts of terrorism and technological and societal changes that would make the Founders’ head spin,” Golden said of the nation’s upcoming 248th birthday.

He then framed the election as a referendum on core issues like the economy and immigration rather than a referendum on democracy. “Some of Congress’ best work in recent years has happened in spite of the president, not because of him. A handful of responsible Democrats, including myself and West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, rejected Biden’s bloated “Build Back Better” bill and instead passed a law that supercharged American energy production, saved Medicare billions of dollars and reduced the deficit,” Golden went on to write.

The congressman also reiterated that he believes Trump will be in the White House come 2025. “Maine’s representatives will need to work with him when it benefits Mainers, hold him accountable when it does not and work independently across the aisle no matter what,” he said.

Golden is currently attempting to survive what looks to be a difficult re-election campaign against Maine State Rep. Austin Theriault, a former NASCAR driver who has received Trump’s endorsement.

Trump carried Maine’s Second Congressional District by seven percentage points in 2020.

‘Transgender Non-Binary’ Female Athlete Qualifies For U.S. Olympic Team

The New Atlantis

Nikki Hiltz, who identifies as “non-binary transgender,” has made the United States Olympic team after winning the 1,500-meter race over the weekend.

Hiltz is a biological female who describes herself as “gender fluid.” The track athlete stated that she was transgender in 2021, though she noted that her gender “fluctuates daily.”

“Hi I’m Nikki and I’m transgender. That means I don’t identify with the gender I was assigned at birth. The word I use currently to describe my gender is non-binary,” Hiltz said.

“The best way I can explain my gender is as fluid. Sometimes I wake up feeling like a powerful queen and other days I wake up feeling as if I’m just a guy being a dude, and other times I identify outside of the gender binary entirely.”

(BREAKING: Your Bank Account Is About To Be Cut In HALF)

Hiltz still identifies as a woman given the fact that she competes in women’s athletics.

“A female who identifies as trans earned a spot on the U.S. women’s Olympic team,” said women’s sports activist Riley Gaines in an X psot. “I wonder why she didn’t try out for the men’s team. It’s almost as if she understands she would never be able to compete or succeed at same level against the men. Telling.”

In a follow-up post, Gaines clarified that she is happy that Hiltz was able to qualify for the team. She was able to qualify against other biological women despite “identifying” as transgender, meaning that she did not have any edge over her opponents, an edge enjoyed by men who compete in women’s sports.

Let it be known I think it’s great that she earned a spot on the women’s team. Incredible feat (so long as no PEDs are used),” Gaines said. “Just pointing out the hypocrisy and double standard. The women’s category has become a catch all.”
