JUST IN: President Trump Responds To Bill Forcing Release Of The Epstein Files

The New Atlantis

President Donald Trump responded Tuesday afternoon after the U.S. Senate agreed by unanimous consent to advance the House-passed Epstein Files Transparency Act — a major step that forces the Justice Department to release all unclassified Jeffrey Epstein records once the bill is formally transmitted to the White House.

Trump, who has already said he will sign the legislation, posted a message on Truth Social urging Republicans to stay focused on the broader victories of his presidency as the bill moves to his desk.

“I don’t care when the Senate passes the House Bill, whether tonight, or at some other time in the near future, I just don’t want Republicans to take their eyes off all of the Victories that we’ve had, including THE GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL, Closed Borders, No Men in Women’s Sports or Transgender for Everyone, ending DEI, stopping Biden’s Record Setting Inflation, Biggest Tax and Regulation Cuts in History, stopping EIGHT Wars, rebuilding our Military, being RESPECTED by every Country in the World, having Trillions of Dollars INVESTED in the U.S.A., having created the ‘HOTTEST’ Country anywhere in the World, and even delivering a HUGE DEFEAT to the Democrats on the Shutdown. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump’s statement came just hours after the Senate took swift, surprise action to guarantee the release of one of the most closely guarded document troves in modern American history.

On Tuesday, Senators agreed without objection to approve the House version of the bill the moment it arrives — bypassing committees, amendments, and delays. The move capped a months-long fight that roiled the House, split both parties internally, and ignited public pressure campaigns demanding full transparency into Epstein’s vast network and the people connected to him.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who requested the unanimous-consent agreement, called it a landmark moment. With no objections from any senator, the chamber cleared the way for the files to be released.

The House passed the legislation 427–1, with only Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) voting against it. The bill mandates the public release of:

  • All unclassified records tied to Epstein
  • Communications, logs, investigative files
  • Materials connected to Ghislaine Maxwell

The Justice Department must publish the records within 30 days of Trump’s signature, with redactions only to protect victims’ identities and other sensitive information. The legislative breakthrough follows a chaotic stretch for House Republicans, many of whom initially resisted the measure over concerns about investigative integrity, privacy issues, and political gamesmanship. Trump himself opposed the timing of the release as recently as last week.

But pressure mounted from across the political spectrum, and Trump ultimately announced he supported the bill — a shift that cleared the way for Tuesday’s Senate action. Once the House formally sends over the bill, it will go straight to the Resolute Desk.
