Pollster Nate Silver has relaunched his election forecast model and according to the latest reading, there’s some news that should make Democrats shout for joy and other data that casts a shroud of doubt on the campaign of Kamala Harris.

It looks as if the Vice President is in a slightly better position as the party nominee against former President Donald Trump than Joe Biden, who was only forecast to have a 27 percent chance of winning when he left the race, which Silver believes was being generous due to the fact the president wasn’t cognitively able to even run a normal presidential campaign. But Silver also noted a “big problem” for the Democrats’ chances with less than 100 days to go.

Silver went on to write in his Silver Bulletin newsletter that having Harris as the nominee gives the Democratic Party a fighting chance against Trump, especially since she’s currently a slight favorite over the former president in the popular vote, which the Democrats have managed to win in almost every single election since 2000. He then noted that, if the election were held today, there would be a lot of uncertainty about who would come out victorious. This is the byproduct of polling in several critical Blue Wall states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, as it’s been a close race ever since Biden said “adios” to his reelection efforts.

Joe Biden refuses to carry out his constitutionally mandated responsibilities, so we took him to court to force him to do his job. This is a huge step forward in the fight to secure our border at a key moment in our nation’s history.”

Back during the 2020 fiscal year, Congress passed a bill that very specifically requires — not suggests, or asks — the President to build barriers along the southern border in order to keep individuals who do not have legal permission to enter the United States out of the country. The legislation set aside $1.4 billion to complete the building of the wall and made it clear in the text that the cash was to “only be available for construction of the barrier systems along the southwest border.” Not surprisingly, Biden and his administration have refused to comply with the law.

The lead singer of the popular rock band Green Day is catching quite a bit of much-deserved flack after he held up a rubber head in the likeness of former President Donald Trump, less than a month after he survived an assassination attempt, and tossed it into the crowd during a live performance held on Monday. Billie Joe Armstrong and his band Green Day put on a show at National Parks in Washington, D.C. as part of their latest tour. The faux Trump head was thrown out into the audience while the band played “Jesus of Suburbia.” The head was stamped with the word “Idiot” on its forehead.

A report from Breitbart News stated that the singer gripped the prop by the head in a fashion that made it look as if it had been decapitated, reminiscent of a similar stunt pulled by “comedian” Kathy Griffin a few years ago. At the request of his fiercely-protective mom Melania, Barron was also forbidden from appearing in social media posts and was the only student to go without a single mention in the academy’s Resonate yearbook,” the report revealed.

On Sunday, July 28, a representative for the US women’s water polo team spoke with PEOPLE and confirmed that Steffens’ sister-in-law passed away in Paris after coming to watch her compete in the Olympics. The sister-in-law, Lulu, was the younger sister of Steffens’ husband, Bobby Conner. She was only 26 at the time of her death, having died after experiencing a medical emergency.

“Obviously it’s difficult to talk about, especially today, but Lulu was a light,” Steffens said in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE. “She is the Olympic spirit, and I think that’s shown in how much she’s here. She’s so present at the Olympics. She was somebody that brought joy to everybody she was with and to everything she did.” According to Steffens, Lulu was a lover of traveling, having served as a camp counselor. She also pointed out that her sister-in-law was an artist and “brought 150 percent” to everything she was involved with.
