Are Biden supporters in a cult?

After years of accusing Republican voters of being in a “cult” for supporting former President Donald Trump, it seems that many Democrats have found themselves in a cult of their own by ignoring President Joe Biden’s obvious inability to serve in the White House for four more years.

Biden’s cognitive decline has been apparent since his presidential run in 2020, but the legacy media and the Democratic Party have willfully ignored his numerous blunders. After Biden’s disastrous debate performance where he bragged about beating Medicare and stood slack-jawed while Trump spoke, many on the Left finally saw that the emperor had no clothes.

However, a dedicated base of Biden supporters still insists that he should push forward. Whoopi Goldberg even said, “I don’t care if he’s pooped his pants. I don’t care if he can’t put a sentence together. Show me he can’t do the job, and then I’ll say, OK, maybe it’s time to go.” Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) said that loyalty to Biden is a “character test,” while Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) argued that Biden critics have decided to “betray the president.”

Biden loyalists are making fools of themselves by either lying about their faith in the president or revealing their ignorance about his incompetence. Moreover, Biden’s continued insistence on staying in the race is becoming sad to watch. He sent a letter to congressional Democrats on Monday that said, “I know better than anyone the responsibility and the burden the nominee of our party carries.”

He then bragged about winning the Democratic nomination “by a wide margin” and said that replacing him as the nominee would mean that “voters don’t have a say.” In reality, the nomination process was clearly organized to benefit Biden and every serious candidate recognized the folly in challenging an incumbent president. From the beginning, the only realistic way for a nominee to be someone other than Biden is if he stepped aside.

Every day Biden stays in the race is a gift for Republicans. It is hard to make the case that Trump is a “threat to democracy” when the Democratic Party is propping up an 81-year-old man who has to go to bed at 8 p.m. and needs picture guides to find his way to a podium.

More than anything, Biden’s refusal to drop out shows that he is just as power-hungry and just as narcissistic as leftists insist Trump is.

Americans are losing patriotism, but Republicans are hopeful thumbnail

Americans are losing patriotism, but Republicans are hopeful

On this Independence Day, the patriotism of Americans is continuing to waver, but the United States remains the greatest nation on Earth.

According to a recent Gallup poll, only 41% of U.S. adults say they are “extremely proud” to be an American, while 26% say they are “very proud.” This combined share of Americans with strong pride in their country is near the record-low number from 2020 and among the lowest ever recorded by Gallup. Moreover, 10% say they are “only a little” proud to be an American, with 5% saying they had no pride at all.

While 59% of Republicans are “extremely proud” of their country, only one-third of Democrats say the same. Even so, this is close to the record low for Republicans, who were historically even more proud of their country. Democrats, on the other hand, hit rock bottom in 2019, when only 22% were “extremely proud” to be Americans.

The partisan differences in patriotism have been high since polling results were recorded, with the proportion of Democrats proud of their country always being much lower than Republicans, even when a Democrat was in the White House. This says something deeper about the state of the Left, which rejects so much of what America is and has been.

It is the Left pushing anti-American conspiracy theories like the 1619 Project, the Left setting up pro-terrorism encampments and sharing literature that says “Death to America,” and the Left who thinks that spreading American values abroad is colonialism. Conservatives, on the other hand, recognize that the nation we live in is fundamentally good, even when they may disagree with the direction it is heading.

Even so, patriotism is low across the board for many reasons, not the least of which is that the upcoming presidential election is between a walking corpse and a guy Americans already voted out of office.

However, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the future of the United States. Our constitutional system remains secure, with every challenge being easily thwarted by a Supreme Court which still knows how to read the law. Our economy remains one of the strongest on Earth, even when our elected leaders make every wrong decision possible. Life has consistently gotten better for decades, and while there is a lot of work to be done, the U.S. in 2024 is the best place to live in all of human history.

There are thousands of reasons to be patriotic. Don’t let political disagreements make you lose sight of the greatness of America.

The Biden administration is selectively prosecuting pro-lifers thumbnail

The Biden administration is selectively prosecuting pro-lifers

A pro-life activist has avoided jail time for attending a peaceful demonstration in the wake of selective prosecution from the Department of Justice.

Paul Vaughn, a pro-life father of 11, was sentenced to three years of supervised release, despite facing a maximum combined penalty of more than a decade in federal prison. The judge in the case noted that “no one was hurt in any way” by his protest and said it was “entirely non-violent.”

In March 2021, Vaughn participated in a gathering in a hallway outside an abortion facility where the group prayed, sang hymns, and urged women not to kill their unborn children. Demonstrations like this are common across the country, and no one who participated in the sit-in was charged with committing any violence.

After the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, President Joe Biden’s DOJ started to target pro-life demonstrators. In the summer of 2022, the DOJ created an abortion-access task force and then actively searched for cases that might violate the Clinton-era Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, despite mostly ignoring the firebombings of pro-life pregnancy centers.

Vaughn was one of the victims of this crackdown, and was indicted in October 2022. Two days after his indictment, FBI agents raided his home at 7:20 a.m. with weapons drawn and handcuffed him in front of his children.

Vaughn and five others were charged with felonies for the incident, while four additional attendees — including a World War II concentration camp survivor — were charged with misdemeanors. They were all charged with FACE Act violations, while those with felonies were additionally charged with a supposed “conspiracy against rights.”

The prosecution tried to portray Vaughn as willfully deceiving police, despite a police negotiator testifying that he had been helpful and peaceful. An abortion facility employee claimed to be “trapped inside the building during the incident,” but video showed this was not the case.

Vaughn was found guilty in January, in what his attorney called a “frustrating setback” for the pro-life community. However, he is expected to appeal his conviction.

His selective prosecution is just one example of many, as the Biden administration has made a habit of egregiously abusing its power. In a somewhat similar case, pro-life activist Mark Houck was recently acquitted of flimsy charges the DOJ had brought against him.

For all the time the Left has spent complaining about former President Donald Trump potentially “weaponizing” the federal government if he is reelected, it has been silent about Biden’s obvious weaponization of the justice system.

The saddest part about this story is that the doctors who murder unborn children every day face no legal consequences for the atrocities they have committed, while those who stand up for life are forced to fear for their futures.

New Jersey middle school appeases terrorist sympathizers thumbnail

New Jersey middle school appeases terrorist sympathizers

A middle school in Wayne, New Jersey, has apologized for a quiz question that called ISIS a terrorist group after backlash from terrorist-sympathizing organizations, showing how pro-terrorism rhetoric is continuing to infect academia.

The question that caused controversy said, “It is a terrorist organization that commits acts of violence, destroys cultural artifacts, and encourages loss of life in order to achieve its goal of global rule under strict Islamic Sharia law.” The four multiple-choice options were the Shining Path, al Qaeda, the Palestinian Liberation Organization, and the correct response, Islamic State, which is also known as ISIS.

“We have seen anti-Muslim & anti-Palestinian sentiments, teachers, and content in our schools over and over again. But we must not allow it to continue,” a group called Teaching While Muslim said in a post on Instagram criticizing the quiz. “Call and email everyone that you can. This is NOT okay on a million levels. Go.”

The group continued, saying the question “wrongly implies that terrorism is a fundamental goal of an ‘Islamic State’” and is “a continuation of U.S. and Zionist propaganda aimed at fearmongering against Muslims AND Palestinians.” It also criticized the question for including the PLO as an answer choice and then doxxed the teacher who used the quiz, saying he “failed his students and must be held accountable for this misinformation.” The post included contact information for numerous school officials to ask “how this was allowed and how it will be rectified.”

Schuyler Colfax Middle School spinelessly apologized following the group’s post, saying, “The question was offensive and contrary to values of respect, inclusivity, and cultural sensitivity that we foster at Schuyler. A priority is always to cultivate safe learning environments for all students regardless of background or belief.”

Wayne for Palestine wrote, “An apology alone does not undo the damage. We demand that a lesson approved by Muslim and Arab teachers be implemented immediately when students return in September to counteract this harmful content.” It continued, “We demand that you connect with expert Muslim and Arab educators to provide necessary training, audit your curriculum, and ensure it does not perpetuate trauma.”

Just a few years ago, a teacher in France was beheaded for showing cartoons of Muhammad during a class debate on freedom of expression. The teenager who committed the murder shared photos of the teacher’s severed head on ISIS Telegram channels and had close ties to the terrorist organization. Pretending that ISIS is not a terrorist group while also threatening a teacher is especially dangerous in this context.

While the ideological rot at institutions of higher education has been well-documented in the past year after pro-Hamas encampments, pro-Hezbollah chalkings, and numerous antisemitic incidents, the trickle down to middle and high schools has been concerning as well. Terrorism is not new for academia. The Unabomber taught us that at the University of California, Berkeley. But the institutionalization of this hatred is being met with little successful resistance.

ISIS is a terrorist group. Apologizing for stating basic truths is an act of pure cowardice.
